I'd like to start a discussion / listings for future events;

.I have got the micromaniacs Jan/Feb mag and it lists the St Valentines Run on the 13th Feb which some of you are arranging to attend...Good Luck ..

Their main rally is on 3rd to 5th June at market rasen Racecourse in Lincolnshire , I can get to this one ,Their organiser is Ray on 0113 229 3748

For a Good rally further south is the East Anglian Microcar Club event at Hengrave Hall nr,Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk on the 5th to 7th August ,You can camp on the friday and saturday nights,Or just attend on the Sunday, Last year 3 126's attended,One was a very good convertable conversion. I'm helping organise it and we can have a 126 area so all the cars can be together...
If you are intersted e.mail me directly or just leave a posting.

Hi Dave,
Good idea. I've got both those dates and hope to be at both venues. Are we looking at just Microcar meets, or classic cars as well ? I will put up any dates that I can get confirmed. So many organisers have not finalised their 2005 fixtures yet. Weird ! Where are you based BTW ?

Hi Dodo,
I'm in Norfolk halfway between Norwich and Kings Lynn. I'm in the Fiat 500 club who are not convinced the 126 is a worthy addition to their ranks and also in the East Anglian Microcar Club ,which has three BIS's among their members..
A lot of the Microcar/Bubblecar movement have a soft spot for the 126 as its probably the only affordable micro available.

Hi Dave,
So, you're not too far from us then. We are just south of Boston just off the A17 to Kings Lynn. I thought that the Microcar people were too into Messerschmits, Isettas and Goggomobiles to take our 126s seriously. Nice to know that they have a soft spot for them. I follow the 500Club chat, but I don't get the impression that real enthusiasts are in the majority. Have you tried the Fiat Motor Club. Their NE regional branch want cars for their stand at the Spalding Classic car show, according to their web site. Also, I seem to remember someone saying that they have a 126 register.

Hello 126ers , Maybe I can clarify for you ... The MicroManiacs will welcome the appearance of 126's at any of their events and all 126ers are welcome to join the Club . Microcars are generally considered as a vehicle with any number of wheels , and with an engine capacity of less than 700cc , although these are guidelines only , for example , several members own BIS's and Bond Bugs . Membership is so cheap it costs little more than a gallon of petrol . See http://www.micromaniacsclub.co.uk for joining details .
I have been a Micro Maniac since day one ( membership number 005 ) and I can tell you there are no heirarchies of desirability or importance of vehicles - all we ask is that you mix in with the rest of us and enjoy yourself . We already have several 126 owners among our membership and I dare say that some of you may find the Micro Maniacs to be more welcoming than the 500 Club which seems to accept 126's begrudgingly . ( Any comments ? )
Incidentally I am the organiser of the St Valentine's Day Microssacar and I'd like to confirm that 126's are welcome to join in the event . I hope to see you there .

DaveA and Dodo, since you're so close to us in Norwich I think we should get at least a little gathering somewhere in the middle - and date..well maybe April when Tiffer's had a chance to get his car done. When we have a date confirmed i will make a little card and stick it on ALL the 126's i know of and maybe we'll get a few of us along! There are lots of us around :)

Hi Mouse,
Good idea ! Congratulations on the Big 2-1 btw. I don't know your neck of the woods very well, have you got any suggestions on where to meet. The only places I know are Thetford Forest Park and Blooms of Bressingham.

Hi All,
How are we doing ref a Norfolk/Sth Lincs. 126/Bis meet ? The Bubblecar museum sounds fine by me, how about a show of hands (not literally of course) for how many would be up for that ? Dates ??? I suggest warmer weather and longer nights, but not when everyone is away on holiday.

I'm happier waiting for better weather,2 inches of snow outside at the moment . The bubblecar museum is a good day out and is in reasonable distance for norfolk, lincs etc,may even drag some enthusiasts from further afield . We'll have to confirm when it re-opens in the spring, I'm going to the micromaniacs rally 3-5 june at Market Rasen Racecourse and will get to The peterboro' rally in July.
I'm helping to organise The East Anglian Microcar rally (3 BIS's amoungst the membership including a very nice Convertable which unfortunately needs a new soft top as it blew away on a run out for the new years meal. Its a different car to the RED_HOT convertable models .) The rally is on the 5,6 and 7th of August and all BIS's are welcome either for the main day sunday or camping for the weekend.I'll arrange a 126 parking area.

Hey guys,
I cant say I will be definitely be there but hope I will! I would prefer it in the summer time when I have less to do - scouts seems to be taking up a lot of my time these days because we've got so much to do for the summer but when thats all over I'll have more time for Molly.

Hi Dave, Interested to hear about another ragtop Bis! I'm up for a meeting at Bubblecar Museum & probably Market Rasen. Our soft top was in pretty good nick but got ripped (about 6ins) while on the trailer coming up from Southend to Grimsby when it started to come undone.
Cheers,
Mitch (aka Ian)

Hi Dodo,
You can count me in for any meet such as Bubblecar Museum, will also be going to Market rasen as its almost on the doorstep, I reckon you could also count on Oildonkey too, although I'm sure he will be in touch soon anyway.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi All,
I've at last got the date for the Springfields Classic Car Show in Spalding Sth Lincs and for some reason they have clashed it with the Great Eastern Pageant of Motoring in Peterborough. I was expecting the North East section of the Fiat Motor Club to have a display at Springfields on the 10th July, but now I'm not so sure.
