Hi Tiff,

Well done ! I was thinking to myself "we don't seem to hear from all the Bisers like we used to" and wondering what could be done about it. Hope Mouse, Roy and all see this and pop up again.

Re the video and a trip to Poland as discussed in the "how to change a head gasket" section. That video is awesome! I tried to convince my boyfreind to take me to Poland but he says it looks too cold which is fair enough considering i would only moan about it being too cold! But yeah, it would be really great to go over and check all all the 126's out! They'd probably think "Crazy British - they dont get out enough" hahahaha

Hi Mouse,
Just one point, how up to date are these Polish sites ? My son takes his family to Hungary every year, so this time I thought I would ask him to look for a nice 2000 built, aircooled 126. After all there are Hungarian 126 enthusiast sites as well. He came back and said - you guessed it - they called him 'Crazy British'. Seems every one has a VW Golf 'cos they are cheaper than they are here and all the 126s have been junked. In Poland they are even cutting and shutting Seicentos.

Hi Mouse,
I hope it didn't sound like I was putting a downer on a rescue mission to Polski land. I hope you do get to do the trip AND while you're there, I just happen to have these two IZAL toilet rolls full of shopping lists...... <Just joking> What I would like is one of those 126 coupes they make, or the fun car that looks a bit like a 500 'Jolly'.

No worries Dodo i didn't think you were putting a downer on it anyway!
I think I will need a few friends to drive back all the cars and bits I'm bringing back from Poland.. fancy coming along anyone? I know that Tomasz's parents drove his 126 p all the way back here from Poland.. i was so impressed! So was Phil the mechanic hehe

Hi Mouse,
I'm really taken with this Polish trip idea, so I've had a look back at some old 'world car guides'. In 1992 FSM listed four 126 models. The standard 652 FL, the Bis, the 652 Cabrio AND wait for it, a 652cc, 126 SPORT ! This had a hotter engine producing 30bhp @ 5000 revs NO LESS. Definitely the one to look for I think.

a sad day "puddle jumper" is no more.....
(well almost)

whilst finishing the body work on my tailgate up yesterday I put the gate back on the car and then laid thescreen back in (need to topcoat it the panel yet) the wind blew the screen out and smashed it thus my puddle jumper logo has gone :(

worse still it smashed over the bonnet of my dads BMW hes is not happy!

they says these things are sent to test us!!!

Hi Stuey,
Sorry to hear about the screen going. Do you have another one to replace it ? I recently bought something from a local Fiat/Lancia dismantlers and I said that I would mention his outfit on this forum. It is S.L. Autos of Rippingale near Bourne, Lincs. The phone number is 017798 440000, ask for Glen. These places are, apparently, getting thinner and thinner on the ground, so it is in our interest to use them while we can.

Hi Mobsters! Guess I just ran out of ammo! I was overwhelmed by the flow of knowledgeable info that flowed from you chasps! My initial attempt was to provide some basic motor servicing gen to Molly fizzers who were in a state of mechanical despair and distrss, and cheer them up! However , I shall continue to read Honest John in the Telegraph and pass on any useful gems of info as applicable! Couldn't make the 13th meet at Goole. wife's family wedding arrangements kicked my plans in the "Gooles"!!! Happy spannering, {;=D.
