will either be the connections dry on the electric motor on the column or a faulty column motor, if it is the column i would look for a second hand one as new are expensive.

Hi. If your steering assembly is faulty, get a reconditioned one, BBA-Reman. Com It is such a common fault there is no point getting a secondhand one.

hi terriors was wondering if you could help me? i have a fiat punto 1.2 16v 1998. i was driving home a couple of days ago and my car lost power, was shaking, chugging making a awful noise. it will not even start now! the injection system malfunction light came on and stayed. i have changed the spark plugs and leads.........please help i am really reluctant to spend any more money on the car!! i was thinking of trading it in for a new one before this problem occured!

Hi. Have you checked to see if there is a spark ?It could be the crank sensor, try to check for fuel supply and a spark

it's trying to start. We pulled the fuel pipe off and there is no fuel leaking out just air?

Right, it could be the fuel pump, relay or the inertia switch. the inertia switch is a safety switch which cuts out the supply to the fuel pump. I think you will find this under the bonnet on the n's it is just a push switch.
Other than that you need to check for an electric supply to the pump.
Is there a spark ?
If the crank sensor has gone then the pump will probably only run for a second or two .

Hi i purchased a fiat punto active sport last april have been having problems! I get a grinding noise coming from the rear when people are in the back has anyone else had this problem? Or can anyone help to tell me what to do? I am having problems with the car dealer at the moment as they can not repair it i returned the car six times. An still the problem is there. Be greatful for some advice!

hopefully the dealer has replaced the shockers on the rear as these can give a groaning noise when weight is in the back, they should have also checked that the axle bushes are ok and not fouling the mounting bracket. there is special grease that is put on these, but not all dealers use it due to it being expensive. don't let them put wd40 or normal grease on them as it swells the rubber

Hey, I am also having this problem when there are ppl in the back it sounds like the wheels rub off the underneath of the car whenever i go over a medium size bump in the road. I only noticed it though since i got my alloys 7 weeks ago. My wheels were 14"s and i got 15"s on it now. Would that be the problem, will the suspension need tightening or what do yes think?
I have a 2002 Fiat Punto Active 1.2

Hi the warning sign that looks like a spurting hose is the IAW failure light Ive just had the same trouble with my daughters punto if you hear a ticking sound when the ignition is switched on you can bet the fuel relay is on its way out £26 from Fiat £3 from breakers its located on the bulkhead just under the plastic cover with 2 phillips screws on its white rectangular in shape and quite easy to change hope this helps

Hi. Just because a sensor has gone on one persons car doesn't mean it will be the fix for everyone. I suggest everyone gets the fault diagnosed correctly before they throw money at the car changing parts unnecessarily.

Hi
I hope somebody can help. I have two warning symbols on my dash and I have no idea what they mean. One is red and it looks like a car seat (driver's seat) with somebody sitting in it with a huge beachball on their lap and a seatbelt fastened over. The other is amber, is another car seat but smaller (I'm assuming passenger seat) with what looks like a baby car seat in it.
Any ideas?

These are signs to do with your passenger airbags being activated or de activated! Have a look down ths side of ur dash by the passengers door where can change change the airbag to on or off! Hope this helps if not looks in your manual it will explain more or if you dont have a manual your can buy them off ebay or haynes manuals!

Yes that msg was supposed to be sent to some i dont know y it went to you sorry! My amber sign flashes when i start my car but thats because i have the airbag turned off but red means its on. Are both of your permantly on?
