When Im making a near full lock turn or a fast normal turn onto a road i hear a knocking sound coming from one of the rear wheels? I dont think its d shocks, pushed down on the rear of the car each side and it returns to normal after 2 bounces. Anyone any ideas what it could be and what i can do to confirm wat it is?? Thanks in advance! Dave

HiI read the posts with interests and was wondering if anyone could share any light on my puntos faults - its a 3dr acive 1.2 on a 54 plate occassionally - when driving the dashboard loses power - speedo and fuel gauge stop and most of the warning lights come on. however, the engine does not lose power. Any ideas Thansk in anticipation of your support!

Hi there, i have a 52 plate Punto which has just needed its Head gasket replaced, new ECU and 2 coil-packs replaced totalling over £500 worth of work - nightmare. I now aim to sell it as soon as i can and get a new car (not a FIAT) but the car now has a whirring sound when im driving in the lower gears, anyone know what this could be? Also, before all these issues happened with my car and it was driving fine, the temp gage always sat slap bang in the middle of the dial, but for the past couple months, the gage fluctuates between middle and the 2nd quarter of the dial (even on short journeys), this is still happening even after all those repairs...anyone know why this is? Im hoping TERRIERS is around as having been reading these forums the past couple of weeks, its obvious he is the expert! Thanks very much in advance for any feedback. :)

Hi all, I've been away for a bit... I had a problem with a warning light coming on when I brake... also the same light started to come on when indicating to the left... I had a look at how my indicators worked and the brake light and indicator light were interrupting each other... I took it to my fiat dealership who fixed it within an hour, saying it was faulty wiring (probably a bad earth connection) all in all cost me £45 (with a couple of bulbs as well)Just though I'd let you all know the outcome of mine incase you experience the same problem, maybe you can help diagnose it yoursekf before paying out. My light has flashed for a long time but she runs sweet as a nut,diagnostic test could find no fault the fault ls with fiat them selfs ,I think they should have a call back and put them all right.

its your transmission that light wich looks like a car with a stick,its prob ur gearbox,ive jst had same prob and it cost 1500 to fix

PLEASE HELP!!!! hi there all,
i have a 1996 fiat, i bought 2 weeks ago and there is a warning light that keeps appearing when i brake.
Ive seen a few people post questions on here about it but no one seems to of answered.... its a red light looks like head lamps and says stop. On my reg punto it appears on the dash next to and below the petrol gauge... please please can someone shed some light, im worried to keep driving it in case it is something to do with the brakes, but i dont want to pay hundreds of pounds just for a diagnosis if its something minor.... have i been ripped off??? :( :( :(

Hi Lemoncake! I have a 96 reg too! I'm not sure bout the light, but the key which says code underneath is just the key that you start the car with. They have a code saved in them which only works with your car, so it just means they key is coded, noting to worry bout!Kay x

HI,I HAVE LOOKED IN MY BOOK SEEMS LIKe A BULB MAY NEED REPLACING,I hate punto's do you want another,lol?
