hiya all,
sorry havnt been on for a little while been really busy with me dad bein here and doin the garden but im back again now,
hope you are all well and your bullies,
i had a little accident with bailey and arry this morning they decided to get into a fight over a bone and bailey came off worse just waiting to take her to the vets, she has a really big gash under her front left armpit which is about the size of a fifty pence so she isnt feeling to good at the mo (think she is in some pain) i will let you all know how she gets on later, im really scarred taking her to the vets as she has really turned nasty with them since they messed up when spaying her, so will just have to see how things go and im sure she will be fine.
well you all take care,
big XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'S to you all and your bullies.

Hello Sam. Awwwwwww poor Bailey, hope she will be OK. Let us know how you get on at the vets. Might need stitches. Thats the only trouble when they do get funny they do alot of damage but your two are normally OK. What does your garden look like now that you dad has done it. Julie

hi molly,
Brunos sister was a pure red,the only one in the litter, takes after their dad, he was red. They are all pedigree. Bruno has eaten curtain tassels where his cage was pushed up against the curtain to close, my fault, also when he wasnt well i had been to vets with him and he fell asleep in car, i wanted some shopping so i nipped into tescos really quickly, when i came back he had started eating my steering wheel. I had to pluck up courage to tell hubby. We laugh about it now, i have a 12yr old jack russel as well, but i cant remember him being as naughty as bruno. I have some pics of him but now sure how to get them on here. i will wait to see if hubby can do it for me when he gets home at weekend. He works away from home. speak soon

hi sam
hows bailey, i know what its like, my jack russel an ebt had a fight over their bones, it was the jack russels fault though, he pinched it and started eating it in front of bruno. he brought it indoors as well, which isnt allowed, bruno went for him really badly, my daughter was visiting, thank good. We threw a glass of water over them, but it didnt work. We ended grabbing bruno off topper. He was ok. Just had to have antibiotic injection and healing powder on wounds.I suppose 2 ebts can do major damage to each other though. Hope baileys ok, were stitches needed.

Hi Julie and Kim,
Bailey is fine now,
yes she did have to have stitches and ended up costing £230,
she is now on bed rest for a week, which is going to be really hard as you all know, heehee, she is locked up in the living room with us away from Arry and just allowing her to go out to toilet.
Her underarm is really really swollen she can just about walk around but they said that should go down in a few days she is booked to go back next friday but no need to remove stitches as they are all inside, so that made me feel good as i wont need to have her sadated which would only stress her out again and i hate having to put her through it.
i was silly again and cried when they sadated her, it is really horrible watching them falling down to the flooring and knowing your going to get no response from them.
Anyway im going to go before i leave you a book to read, hahaha.
Take care,
Sam, Bailey and Arry. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx's to all

hi kim,
oh i wish i could just put my feet up, im on tender hooks everytime she loves, i seem to be worse with the bullies than i am with the kids, maybe its because they are unpredictable and you never know what they are gonna do as they cant tell you but i dont mind really she is my baby girl.
thanks for thinking of bailey its great to know there are people out there who do give a damn.
all the best,
take care,
sam, bailey and arry xxxxxxxxxxx

i dont know if this is a wild shot, but its holiday season. i live in cornwall is there any bully lovers out there that might be down this way on hols. it would be lovely for our dogs to meet up, not saying they will get on, bruno loves everyone and every dog but unfortunatley that dont all love him. He is only just ten months old but he is well socialised with my friends dogs. it would be great if someone was down here.

Hi all
Sorry I've been away from the bully gang - things have been a little crazy the last couple of weeks. Nero's skin got so bad the other day that they had to sedate him and take several biopsies, poor thing, and a skin scraping (all in all cost me nearly £200 but he's worth it!). The results said it was folliculitis caused by ingrowing hair and pyogenic dermatitis/pyoderma, often associated with the breed. The vets were given a list of the antibiotics that work against the bacteria and those that they're resistant to. It turned out that the last lot of antibiotics Nero had been on were in the resistant list so they put him on another type, which seem to be slowly helping. I use hibiscrub too as well as Malaseb shampoo which just help to keep things clean.

Unfortunately I think it's just something that EBT's are prone to. The vets told me that dogs who are white or who have a lot of white on them seem particularly prone. I'm not sure if any of you have read Cyd's Skin Pages - http://www.bull-terrier-skin.com - but it says that bullies have low immune systems. I've now put Nero on a natural diet (veg, sardines, raw meat etc. mixed in with a bit of his normal food) to boost his immune system and it seems to be helping. I think he's eating better than me these days and I definitely seem to be spending more of my wages on him than myself!

Kim: Sorry to hear that you're having similar problems with Bruno. We would love to see a pic of him if you have one. Nero crawls along the grass on his belly too - he pulls himself along with his front legs and his back legs out flat behind him. I call it his Commando crawl. Wot a naughty boy eating your steering wheel. I totally know where you're coming from here as Nero chewed the knob off my gear stick! Over the years he's also eaten one side of my sofa, a road atlas, a pair of trainers and a philips shaver amongst other things! Where abouts do you live in Cornwall?

Nobby: Let us know if your daughter decides to go for a bully.
Vicky: Sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time of it - although hard, sometimes things are meant to be. I'm sure things will work themselves out and you definitely have all your bullie mates around you.
Sam: Sorry to hear that Bailey's been in the wars (or starting them!) but glad she's bearing up. I'm a big softie too when it comes to Nero and have cried over him several times when he's been bad.

Molly: I loved the picture of Texas - what a little cutie - I would just love to give him a hug!!!!
Pearly: Molly, Cracker and Monty sound so funny - I would love to see them and it's so nice of you to have rescued them - I bet they all love you to bits (and your mint imperials!).

Anyway, must go now as I have to pop down town. Me and Nero are meeting up for another bully walk with Julie and Milly and the gang again tomorrow.

Lots of bullie hugs
Kate and Nero xxx

Please reach out to people in your areas that they are much more than a status symbol and some still fight with them, I'm talking about Staffies, Bulldogs and cross breeds. It's still a big issue these days so if you are breeding please home check families for these breeds so that we can prevent these beauties falling into the wrong hands, as it only spells disaster and cruelty for the dog!

I adore English Bull Terriers, when I was really little my next door neighbour had one - next door neighbour used to be in prison but they were both really kind. That dog stopped me falling into a pond even though I was quite big and could swim, he still pulled me out like a little hero! Pepper his name was, bit random for a Bullie but it suited him!
