I hate to say this but Tipper's favorite snack is cat poop. I always tell her before she goes outside, "TIPPER... YOU BETTER NOT EAT ANY CAT POOP!" She just sort of goes on about her business with her tail partially tucked & barely waggin' like, "ok, but only if I can resist the temptation." She's gotten better about it though but we have to keep the cat's litter box out of her reach. Sometimes the cats go in the mulch near the trees so we keep our eyes peeled whenever she goes out to do her business.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that Tasha was put to sleep on Friday morning at 9am, it was so upsetting but it was the right thing to do to end her suffering. I miss her so much.

I'm very sorry to hear about Tasha. I know how devastsated I would be to lose Tipper. Our prayers are with you & your family. Losing a beloved pet is nearly as bad as losing a human loved one. I think all bully owners can relate to that statement. Most people with ordinary dogs would think that it's absurd to rank a dog even remotely the same as a human, but as bully owners we know how special they are, they are family to us. A bully that's a part of your family cannot be replaced with another bully just as we cannot replace a child. However, it would make you feel better to get another bully companion. It would be family with its own personality that will bring you joy but will not take the place of Tasha. Keep well friend... Tim

Thanks Tim. We are planning to get another very soon. I want one just like Tasha really but I know they are all different. My two children who are 21 and 23 think I loved her more than them. But she was no trouble at all, in the 6 and a half years that I had her she never once got nasty or showed her teeth or growled at us, she hardly ever barked either. Have you any photos of Tipper you can send me. My email address is [Log in to view email]

I'm sorry, but I don't have a digital camera or a scanner but plan to purchase both soon. I have some great pictures of my "baby" that I would love to share. She knows that I leave today to return to Mexico for 3 more weeks. It's strange how they know things. Just seeing the baggage by the door is a sign that her "daddy" is leaving. I'll miss her & my family, of course. It's been a great time home. I am very close to my family & it's gut wrenching to leave but it will all be over by June at which time things can get back to normal. I'll have my laptop in San Diego California & watching this forum which keeps my mind occupied while I'm away. Bully owners are a special breed of people just like the bullies themselves are a special dog. Last night Tipper got sick after eating some raw cabbage that was dropped on the floor during meal prep. She's fine now but I can tell she doesn't feel well. Knowing that I'm leaving probably doesn't help matters any but she is very content with my wife son & daughter (& their friends), so she's never lonely or depressed when I'm away. She has a way of dealing with her feelings. She's an outstanding pet. I hope you find the perfect bully for you & yours. As you said, it won't be the same because they all have different personalities but they have the same sweet traits. Good luck & think of the good times you shared with Tasha. Memories with her will last forever & keep you going... Tim

Tipper loves to drag my son for a walk. Allen just says when he returns from school, "wanna go for a walk!" & she tears off the couch & runs to the front door to wait for him to attach the leash. As soon as the leash is latched & the door opens she goes runnin', dragging him along. He used to get his skate board & she would pull him around the neighborhood. Tipper looks alot like Mungo. She's also brindle. Do you also have children that Mungo can share the fun times with? I have a picture on my coffee table of Tipper & the kids which is only 6 yrs old but the kids were so little then. They grow up sooo fast. It breaks my heart to see how much they've grown since that innocent time but they're great & sweet kids just like their bull terrier best friend. Sometimes I have to turn the picture away to keep from crying. She's taught all of our family alot about unconditional love & how special animals are & how precious life is. Thanks eveyone for the comments & support about me being away. I truly feel that I'm among friends here... Tim

Tipper sounds brialliant. I dont have any kids but Im like a big kid myself when it comes to mungo. I often come home to my boyfriend playing hide and seek with him in the garden! I come back from work and I take him on his walk, then when i finally site down to eat he comes up to me with a toy in his mouth looking all sollum until i through it for him. I think bull terriers just have the cutest faces that its impossible to ever get angry with them.

Hi Jan, thanks for your support. I am still numb at the moment but I keep telling myself it was for the best. I miss her so much. I have just been given some puppy photos of Tasha from the family who had her when she was small and they are gorgeous I cannot stop looking at her. I want to get another just like her. Friends of ours have a cocker spaniel which Tasha used to play with regularly and they have said we can have her round anytime and take her out for walks which we did on Sunday morning and it was lovely.

Hi there. What lovely photos of Mungo, he is absolutely gorgeous. I could cuddle and kiss him all day. What a lovely face he has. I have printed them off and take them home to show my husband. I can't wait to get another one. If anyone knows where I could get one from please let me know. I have put my name down with a breeder in Chepstow but it wont be until July or August that they will be available.

I agree about their faces, sometimes Tasha would look so sad with her head bent down. I could never tell Tasha off but then she never really did anything naughty. She was such a good dog.

Julie, I spoke to Mungos breeders last week and they have 3 puppies due to be ready in about 3 weeks, I dont know whether they have been sold already or not.

Im going to see them in 3 weeks and to take Mungo back for a visit. They are based in Redditch, not sure if thats anywhere near you, but I would certainly recommend them as good honest and friendly breeders; they have kept in touch with me all the way to make sure I and mungo are getting along well. The puppies are all bitches I think, one pure white, one fawn and one brindle. If you want me to speak to them then let me know and I can pass on your contact details.
