i have just brought a gilera ice my mates think its crap and at the moment it is. its compleatly standard at the moment. can you tell me what i can put on it to make it faster than thiers? i can spend about £100 cheers

well wen i got my ice it was standard and restricted to 30mph but now iv completely deristricted it n it hits 60 all i have done to mine is taken the washers out of the variator got a giannelli sports exhaust 7gramm doppler rollers and iv taken a restricter out of the air filter aswell and got a mallossi sponge, before i bought my sporty it was doin a comfy 45 hope this helps.

when you say you remove the restrictor in the carb do you mean the gold/brass plate thing with loads of holes in it
also what main jet you got in it

yea that restricts the air flow iv removed that and i havent touched the main jet its just standard

The restrictor in the carb, the brass plate thing with the holes how hard isit to take out?? i restricted the exhaust nd took out the washers bt havent even looked in the carb yet

easy just look in side of ur air filter there will be a large hole at the back follow the tube through the hole and u wil find the brass plate with the holes in wen you find this brass plate it simply pops out.

today im gunna remove the plate thing and im putting a 65 jet in
i also have a tt exhaust on with kelver belt 5.7g roller
see if it make any differeces

if u do all that to it it wil do atleast 55 i rekon maybe hit 60

you hit 60 as you have 7 g roller in ive only got 5.7 so that will take about of top end off my accelation is smooth will these rollers
what your like with the 7g in

cheers m8 i took that plate out nd it seems to run smoother but i dont think its made a huge difference on the top speed i got 53 out of it which is what i had got b4 but thanks for the help

it wasnt to bad realy although iv resently changed my rollers to 4.3 so i can do some wheelies but the top end is only about 55 nw

yer my ped can lift like couple of mm not much with 5.5 g lol
dont wont to try pulling wheelies just in case i full off back wards

nah that has never happend to me becasue u are in control of how much lift you get all you have to do is lean fowards after you have lifted it and keep the revs steady

oh right but im to chicken to try any way i got pulled not long ago for speeding lol so knowing my luck i would try and a cop would be there
i was only speeding as i fitted the sports lol

wot did the old bil say i aint ever been pulled and im always speeding and the ova day i had my red neons on and the old bill followed me but didnt pull good thing they didnt i would have been done for driving under the influence

Do ne1 else's ice sumtimes not want to accelerate as quick mine seems to vary its completly derestricted aswell is there ne reason for it or is that jus the way it is?

ye mine is a bit temprimental on the acceleration. its fully derestricted with sports exhaust and god knows what other mods but its still crap on acceleration. it was fine then i snapped the throttle cable n when i replaced it the acceleration was [Log in to view email] ive tried adjustin this n that but it didnt work, also ive lost hill speed aswll :(

i would check your roller i put a set in and they where cheap one they lasted me 2 month because of the speed i was going get the molossi one

i know a couple of people who have got them and they have only made about 4-5 mile and hour difference so they are not realy worth the money if you were looking for a all round better ped without gettin a 70cc big bore i would suggest a boost bottle they increase acceleration and top speed and have a smoother throttle responce one of my mates bought a boost bottle n his ped blists mine all round he hits about 65 top end
