my m8 told me 2 put lighter rollers in and sed this should fix the problem i have the same problem and i am waiting for m nu rollers i let u know if it works

Hi i also have an Ice derestricted and got a gianelli pipe wiv 5.5g rollers a malossi variator and a malossi clutch spring and the thing only goes 41 should really go faster than that anyhow when i start it up after an hour or so of it not running then i give it throttle an it chokes and only goes 11-15 for about 5seconds then slowly judders faster. Something wrong recently with electric start not working sometimes since i got the exhaust on it before it started a treat everytime. And If i cruise along at low throttle and then go more throttle then it chokes slows down then judders faster. Its really not a smooth ride. Anyway if anyone knows whats wrong give us a shout any help would be great. Ade

I've just bought an ice,
seems at bit slow. only 32 down hill ( restricted to death )
One sorted i'll post the results.

wot bar? theres 1 on the left thats the petrol bar and the one on the right dosent do nothink

ok iv got the gilera ice manual here and am reading it and it dosent say nothink about the right bar. can u put a rev counter on on ice?

its directly under the mph it used to go up with speed .. . ..
but its full all the time now .. .. .. mines out in all weather guessed it might have somthing to do with that.
anyway had my first service last weekend the gizer sorted the restricter on the exuast 48. . is now the norm well pleased. . . .!!
and theres not a bit of sluggish anywhere to it . . . cheers for the reply

quick speedo fix.
follow below.
Hold down mode button and set button, turn ignition on then off while still holding the buttons down.
release buttons turn ignition back on.. job done mph.

sounds quite good speed.
I've removed the variator rings and now see 40mph on the flat.
can you explain the exhaust fix ( where the restrictor is )

hi pete thanx for the speedo fix. . .
if you look at your exuast coming from the bike. . .
follow the tube down and it splits into two peice's, one goes to the exuast the other is about 5-6 inches and is just crimped at the end. all the bloke has done to mine , is simply cut it of at the main pipe and sealed it back up

if you go here and then go to the exuast part it has photo's for an aprillia one simalar you would just need to do the side pipe in the photos

wot place is it that r charging you £95, wot it called n were it located, i'll ring them up n tel them der over chargin far too much. anyways if u live near preston ders a garage called north west bikes that do it for like £30. but if u got the tools do it ur self it so easy on the ice as u dont have to take any fairings or out off. my local gilera garage charge like £30 an hr, but i do it all maself just go der if i need any parts. i tuk ma m8's washer out of the transmisson the other day n his went from doin 35 2 45 n he stil got 2 derez the exhaust. also if u do it urself watch the bolts as they round of quite easily and dont over tighten them as the casing is onli made out of aluminium, i found out the hard way n as 2 re tap 1 of the threads.
