Thanks big bear,i let them know, but would there be restricters in a race pipe, as mine has for race use only engraved into it.

HI,I'M 90% SURE IT HAS,RACE PIPS ARE NOT FOR THE ROAD AND MOST END UP ON THE ROAD AND THATS WHY THE RESTRICTERS ARE PUT IN PLACE, I MADE MY EXHAUST MY SELF AT MY OLD PLACE OF WORK & IT WAS A LITTLE BIT BETTER THAN A RACE ONE AND LOOKED THE PART,YES I HAD ABOUT 8MPH MORE AND IT WAS A BIT FASTER ALLROUND BUT FOR THE TIME IT COST TO MAKE £45 AND PLAY AROUND AND THEN CHROME 8 HOUR'S I COULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE CHEAPER,HAVE FUN BIG BEAR.

I was talking to the guys and they assured me that there are no restricters in it, they said they checked the pipe and muffler. They now think it may be electrical, any others ideas would be most appreciated. thanks for all your help big bear.

hey
i have a gilera ice it is standard from what i know and it only does in beween 20 - 29 mph
if any one knows how to solve this can they email me.

First check your exhaust if there is a pipe coming off it going nowhere. if this i cut and crimped it is probably derestricted. how fast have you been on it? Did you buy it new or second hand?

If the standard exhaust is fitted there is a pipe coming off the exhaust its small but shud be there, this shud be cut and crimped. contact the person you bought it off and check with them. Has this problem been happening since you got the scoot.

If i remember right it shud be were the exhaust bends coming out from just under the frame.

are you sure its the exhaust and not just a bad bike lol ?it does run and everything just lacks speed. I do have a few pics of my exhaust on my phone but i dont know what you need to see.

no i think its restricted and one of the restricters is dat pipe so if you see that it has been cut then you know its had its restricters taken out. Ok from that pic, look right under the bike and follow the exhaust to were it comes from the bike if you cant see one then its prob not the original exhaust even tho it does look like it. How old is the bike? Has this prob been happening since you got it? Did the person you got if off tell you there was anything wrong with it?

urm its an 03 plate in a bit of a mess i have always had this problem urm basicly i bought it of a friend and ive tried asking him wether he knows if anythink is wrong with it and he never texts back so im just stook with this basicly heres a photo under the bike hope this helps.
