hi..
seem to be getting mixed rections on this topic!
just bought a 126 bis for my girlfriend and not sure which type of petrol to use! did a bit of research on the forums and some people seem to use unleaded with no problems, some use it with additives and some use 4star.
i'm lucky enough to have a garage near me that still sells 4star (which is handy as i own a 62 buick!),so using 4star would not be a problem!
would appreciate feedback on this subject..
(don't wanna do any unneccesary valve seat damage!)
thanx..

I use TETRABOOST additive . It is not a lead substitute additive - it is a genuine LEADED additive which you add to unleaded fuel . It not only benefits the valves and seats , but also increases octane rating . My Isetta engine was designed before leaded fuel was invented so is OK to run on unleaded but with Tetraboost it is noticably so much smoother . My Harley hates unleaded . It farts and pinks like a pig , not a hog . With Tetraboost the problems dissappear . Classic racers use Tetraboost to increase Octane ratings . With the right proportions over 100 Octane can be miixed . Note - Tetraboost is NOT illegal to use on the roads . Handicaps - it contains lead ! So you must be careful not to breathe the vapours or get it on your skin . Also , it is not available in single bottles so you have to buy a pack . This may seem expensive in one hit , but in use costs are about the same as any other additive . I have no connections with Tetraboost manufacturers or suppliers , other than as a thoroughly satisfied customer . More info at http://www.teraboost.com
