This jenny bird is a moody trollop. Any 1ltr car, be it a festa, an ax or anything else (not including forced induction if ur thinking about being pedantic - we all know about the charade gtti) will be slower/less powerful than a 1.4l. End of story.

Jenny,
I would suggest you check with someone who actually knows anything about cars before opening your moody mouth, Citroens, as most people that know anything about cars already know, hardly ever rust & I think a comment about rust coming from a Ford owner is unwise.
As for accidents.. My AX GT was hit at 30mph by a transit van, this totally destroyed my AX, and yet I’m still here, so they cant be that bad now can they??

What Fiesta do you have? Is it a 1.0? 1.1? Or maybe a beefy 1.2?? Or perhaps you have one of the warmhatch zetecs?

Get back to me when you have a clue sweetheart..

And its not a mobile crisp packet its a mobile Coke can thank you very much!

Nice line of chat about a load of tat.
Don't get your knickers in a twist.
face reality, all small cars and all classics and most vans are rubbish for internal occupancy protection. only in the last few years have manufacturers started to take crash protection seriously. So fiesta, ax, micra, metro, 100, saxo, 106, corsa, clio, all classic cars, most vans all have little real world protection.

On the speed front, speed is nothing and really imaterial, if all you want to concern yourself with is speed, stay in the play pen and wait until you grow up.
Strapping a turbo and a silly exhaust to your normal car is pointless, at the end of the day a supermini/city car is still what it is, a small family runabout (unless you chuck several thousand at it and go rallying/racing). And big family cars are the same, remeber the people who design and build cars have spent millions on designing it to work in a certain way, and then along you come and fiddle with it (I can't recall anyone having a manufacturer's budget or knowledge)
The guys at Lotus are experienced chasis designer's and they are often hired to help design/improve other peoples designs.

As for all this driver is the key rubbish. if any of you have racing licence's or advanced driver qulifications (like the police, paramedics e.t.c) i would rate you all as average or below average. I have seen self obsessed drivers, who claim to be wonderful, or better than another person have really big accidents (or just getting stuck in the car because the head is to big)

I hope you all see the sense in this as it is all true.
I have had small medium large, sports suv 4x4 coupe cabriolet e.t.c so I understand the pain you are going through.

As a final note. I managed to pick up a Honda Civic 1.6Vti 3 dr hatch grey import for £1200, when put on a rolling road it has 175 bhp and handles and brakes to match it is alos light reliable and in immaculate condition it just has lots of miles.
Alos look in exchange and mart and purchase and ex police volvo t-5 in mechanilcally mint condition for next to nothing, they exist and are superb bargins as they are serviced in one year more than the average family car is in a lifetime (by people who know what they are doing with them as well)

Cheers Darlings

re.KJF.Oh Mr.Self Opinionated. So ALL advanced and racing licence holders are average or below?Bit of a sweeping statement don't you think?Although I'm sure they all appreciate your rating. Why is improving the performance of a small car pointless?Whats the differance between a 1.2 and an xr2?Engine performance(changeable-to an extent),brakes(changeable),suspension(changeable)Wheels(changeable)They aren't really that different.Come to think of it,why not just buy the xr2 in the first place?enjoy.

Wake Up KJF

Firstly, well done on picking up a thrashed Jap import Civic… you bought a Civic… well done…no really, Well done,,, they are really nice, , , if you happen to be fifty. & good luck with the insurance.

In addition, when you write your next comment, perhaps you could get an adult to check it for you. I think at your age you should really have mastered spelling.

FYI: its not imaterial, its immaterial, its not remeber, its remember, its not chasis, its chassis, its not qulifications, its qualifications, its not alos its also, its not mechanilcally its mechanically, its not bargins, its bargains.

If its such a load of “tat” why the pooing h*ll are you bothering to read and add your long winded views??

I thought this thread was called “Citroen AX GT Why Is It So Quick” so why are you bothering to comment if you don’t have anything specific to say about the AX, if you are just going to add your own self obsessed, over inflated opinions about nothing to do with the AX why don’t you do it somewhere else?
Perhaps you should start your own thread,, “Honda Civic 1.6VTI, Why did I buy one?”

As far as “Self obsessed driver who claim to be wonderful,” I’ll see you at Oulton Park 8th July, track day, & bring your tepid hatch. Moreover, you don’t need a racing licence or advanced driving qualification.

Cheers darlings..
