If you have not got a box yet , then dont unless yours can not be rebuilt. Not much can go wrong with them, lookk up http://www.no1gear.com/recycledparts.html , He has usually got some box's sitting rebuilt with all the usual linkage wear bits sorted out. You do have to ring them though ask for Mike . Good luck Richard
I only just joine this forum , if your still looking for the exhaust manifold gasket then drop me a line & problem solved
thanks for the tip about Delfin Designs. They are really too far away from me to use for hands on stuff but great for sourcing new or used parts. As to your battery drain - I have a cousin foolish enough to love the Talbot Motor home in all of it guises (like the rest of us) and he found that the heater plugs have been responsible for seriously depleting the battery - he has to disconnect them at night! Could be your problem. Regards Susie
Thanks for the tip re headlamp adjusters - now I will be able to see the road and not the top of the hedge! Susie
Not easy to get hold of tanks , get a old speaker , remove the magnet & stick it to bottom of tank , even rust will be drawn into it , look close at the inside of filler tube before you do anything else. If you really want to go a long way with it , drop tank wash it out with pertol & put magnet in the bottom. Regards Rich
change your rad ! , being ally they tend to block, thats if you have changed everything else out !. Here is the list of checks for you . 1 , remove rad , & back flush it with hot water , then flush it normal flow way . 2 , remove the heater pipes from van , flush them through, as they drop lower in cab from under bonnet the tend to fill with silt , refit them to heater first going out of drivers door , & flush the heater unit. 3, remove block drain bolt, located on back of engine below pipe from water pump & closer to the gearbox side of block. then from the heater out pipe at end of block flush with hot water. If you still get problem with over heating check the compression , you may have a leak on head causing presure on water system , with water system empty the pressure drop will show on compression test. good luck Rich Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
