I had the same problem with sagging springs, whilst the springs are OK they where "tired". The options are to have them upgraded and an extra leaf fitted by a spring specialist. Air springs Grayston spring assistors which are 4 coil springs which are fitted in addition to the leaf springs this is the option I took cost £180 fitting time less than 1 hourHad them for a couple of years and the result is excellent even with a scooter on the back

Hi Montgomery, A can of worms would be the least of your probs!!!! I was ripped off with my Talbot Excalibur last Sept. I think the rotten part, (one of them!!) you are describing is called the skuttle. Mine too was rotten, totally. Then found that practically everything else was too! How it got an MOT, I'll leave to your imagination. £2000 later and it still isn't on the road, as it failed a straight MOT and needs some front end chassis welding still. I've run out of money to complete it. I don't know how long your MOT runs til, so at least you may get summer use from yours. I suggest you try delfindesigns for the skuttle. They did mine and it was about £200 last year. I think their website is down again so try 01258 857474. I am not connected to them in anyway. I wish you luck with your Talbot and hope your can of worms doesn't turn out to be as extensive, or expensive as mine!! All the best Linda

Hi Rich , The wires are good fun if you got the right Coil ! , usually the coils do not have wires connected , if its a second hand coil then remove the wires !. Ok going by year you should have points & condensor in Dissy, condensor wire to negative pole on coil , the wire from loom changes colour throughout models , so best way to find in it turn ignition on & test for a 12 feed wire , & connect that to the positive pole on coil. if your still stuck then email me a picture with the color code of all wires & where they to , & ill search though the diagrams i have to see if i have a match for you

HI i have just fitted a new gearbox to my talbot bedouin ,the starter was tight to come out but it was just a shake up and down to come out., there is a plate between the starter and the bellhousing remember to put it in again when fitting the starter. I have found that Delfins Design are very helpfull if you have a problem, just type Delfins Design in google and then give them a ring

By hanger do you mean the bolt on part that bolts to floor & spring connects 2 . If so these are still on main dealer parts listing, but get the part number from Peugeot for it , then ring your local Citroen dealer as chaces are they will be cheaper. Rich
