My Talbot express 1991, the water heater is in front of the gear stick and the tap to switch it on is in a very awkward place, it is up above the clutch pedal, it is plastic and it is controlled from the heater panel on the front of the dashboard, as you get some one to move the heater control on the dashboard followthe linkage from the dashboard to the heater tap and seeif it is turning on and off, my tap is broken and the heater is stuck on, A job for a long weekend. Hope this helps

Hi Folks, new to this forum.... I'm about to go and have a look at a 1988 Talbot Express 2.5 Diesel Holdsworth conversion.
It all looks very tidy and the owner claims to have looked after it well and recently done a lot of bodywork repairs. W
Can you give me any tips about what I should keep an eye out for... The scuttle is worth a check by the sound of it ;o)

Well, thanks for the advice. Went to have a look and I don't think it's quite right for us. It's been resprayed and rotten arches replaced etc... Engine bay looked ok, but there's a hole through into the left wing area and the edge of the main structure was starting to rot in there.... yuk. It was also crunchy underneath some of the window rubbers... all in all not worth what they were asking really, but of some use to someone

I have a Talbot Express Camelot conversion 1989, I'm not sure whats going on with my leisure battery but it doesn't seem to kick in , the power seems to come from my engine battery, does anyone know if there's a switch or something else i should be doing?! I've only had it a few months and we're taking it to europe this weekend so any help would be appreciated!!

If it smells damp and mouldy, its because it is damp and mouldy. If its damp and mouldy, its letting the rain in somewhere . . . . .

Hi,we can both fix and suggest a cure for your vans problem.Check that the waste gate isn't seized open on the turbo, this would give the symptoms you describe. We have a warehouse full of spares and also have various shower tray moulds to make a new one for you.Phone 01258857474 for further info. http://www.delfindesigns.co.uk

To fill the tank on LPG,it costs about £16. I believe it will do between 40-50 miles a gallon going at a steady speed.

Try this site http://www.marcleleisure.co.uk as they sell the semi air suspension kits. They make an incredible difference to the ride comfort, as well as restore the height.
