I've just purchased a 1950's Lines Bros. LTD pram and am having a hard time finding out anything about them, much less how to go about restoring it!! I've been told to polish the chrome with steel wool, followed by wax, but I'm not sure this is correct? The bassinet part of the pram has quite a few scratches to the paint and I have no clue how to fix this. Additionally, a rubber wheel has fallen off, so it will need to be replaced, if it isn't repairable. I would love any and all input on how to begin undertaking this project-THANK YOU!

For chrome, I've used Autoglym (?) which is for chrome wheels, bumpers etc on old cars and I get from a car shop. They might be able to advise on protecting it as well, and car bits are often rechromed in restoration projects, so they might be able to help.

Thanks for the tip- I got the buggy cleaned up well over the weekend and used a scouring pad to get a thick layer of dirt off the chrome. It looks so much better already. I cleaned up the tires once and I think after one or two more cleanings, they will look good as new. Do you know of anyplace other than checking flea markets, etc., to find replacement tires? I have one that has split due to dry rot. Thanks again

Laurie, Where have you found for new tyres? I think mine needs them, and although I've found somewhere that could rechrome them, they can't help with the rubber, so if you know somewhere that can and wouldn't mind letting me know, that would be great. Thanks.

My Marmet Pram is 34 years old - used for my 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Requires new pram tyres for my next expected bambino. Pram is in excellent condition apart from the tyres which have done soooooooo many miles. Would very much appreciate it if anyone can tell me where to get new tyres.

Hello, I saw your message on preloved & was wondering if you are selling your pram ? does it have the large 24/18 wheels. I have a small private collection of prams mainly large Wilson prams, I have never owned a LBC. as I think this is who it is by kind regard Catherine.

I have an old Wilson Mulliner pram which is Navy Blue and I wish to restore it to it's former glory. Can anyone suggest where to look for a matching paint colour and where to find replacement parts like the chrome caps for the wheels?
