Linda, can you please post a picture of the bits you are looking for just dismantling a silver cross now, and the body is intact so might have them here.

Hi,

Could I please have some help from fellow prammies. I bought a pram this morning an old pram, but it is in showroom condition. White/off white body with tiny flowers and baby blue hood and apron with the white/off white interior. 24 inch large wheels and think 20 inch smaller wheels. Matching pram set and canopy. Lovely deep body. This was owned by a lady who had had it from new, she couldn't remember when it was bought, used for only one child and then stored in a spare room in her house under wraps. Unfortunately she has mild dementia and the lady who helps her didn't know much about it either. She didn't know exactly how old the ladies son was so that didn't help (he lives in Australia). The lady is going into a nursing home and is selling everything (she has a six bedroomed house in 3 acres). As well as the pram I bought her crib from her as well, to say it is stunning would be an understatement.

The housekeeper has vacuumed the pram regularly so it isn't even dusty and the chrome sparkles. I nearly cried when I saw it. Now is where I need the help. Firstly what is it? and secondly what do I insure it for, as I need a figure to put on the shippers inventory. I am going back to collect it at the weekend as need to get my son to hire a van, there is no way I am risking putting that in a car. There isn't a mark on the body at all and even the tyres look new. I am sure I have seen a picture of one before, but brain isn't in gear and I can't remember where and the name of it. I have seen brand new Balmorals in worse condition.

Fiona,

The picture is exactly the pram. I didn't think my pram had the pram bag, but I have had a phone call this evening to say it was found in a cupboard. The pram set is still in its original packaging, likewise the sun canopy. The sale of house contents was advertised locally and I phoned to ask if there was a pram there and bingo!!! It's like Christmas and Birthday in one. The shippers are being awkward about the value, but tough. They have been more hassle than enough and if necessary I will pack it. The crib I bought at the same time is wicker and just as stunning as the pram. There is an auction next week and I will definitely be going. This house was amazing. It was next door to where Lord Denning used to live.

Julie, If you want to have a look at the Anna Carter babies, go to annacarterbabies.co.uk, or failing that TheCatsWhiskers.co.uk. I think either of those will get you to her babies. I have never seen babies like them. I have well over 30 of her babies alone, and it is mostly those that I will be taking.

Wow, what a find, and in showroom condition too! My mum had one of these in black for my brother and he was born in September 1961. It's pictured on the Prams of Distinction website complete with my brother in it! He woudn't be impressed if he knew! It makes you wonder what treasures are hidden in lofts up and down the country. My mum sold hers unfortunately, I'd love to know if it still exists somewhere.
My sympathies are with you on your impending move, I did it three times backwards and forwards to Germany, the first time with a new baby and a three-year-old, it isn't easy but it will work out in the end! Good luck.

Hello I have tried both of the sites you mentioned to see the Anna Carter babies and I cannot get through to either of them, the annacarterbabies site comes up with something saying the certificate for this site has some problem or other and the other one all I can get is domestic cleaning services. I have tried typing in higher and lower case letters and still the same result.

I have tried both sites as well. Will speak to a contact in the doll world tomorrow, she may have retired now, it is some time since I bought a doll. Also try looking on ebay.
