Again thanks Carolyn. I will try and trawl a few charity shops for leather straps and go for it from there. I really appreciate the advice. Valerie

Hi Really interesting site and first time I've visited. I'm doing up an old silver cross dolls pram and the rubber on the wheels has perished. I know you can get new ones for about sixty pounds but this is too expensive for value of pram. Is ther any other site where you can buy old wheels/tyres. I need 2x10in and 2x9in wheels thanks

Hi - I am looking for an undercarriage for a Silver Cross pram I bought in 1985. I don't know the model - it is a navy cord pram. Unfortunately the chassis and wheels are missing. I am to be a grandmother in July and would love to restore the pram. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Jacqui

I would be interested in finding pram collectors in the U.S. I live in Kansas and would like to find others interested in collecting and restoring prams here in America. I would also like to highly reccommend Susan at Clovergem for any work on your prams. She is most helpful and patient dealing with someone overseas, (not an easy task!)

I was told you need a special machine for reupholstering, I tried several places. It's easier to just order a brand new hood

hi Vick,In answer to your question about having hoods and aprons recovered. I have just had one done for a Royale dolls pram by Alison Murfett. She has done an excelent job. The pram looks wonderful. Not only did she recover it she supplied the hood frame and made the apron up from measurments I gave her, as mine was missing. Graham on the thread is from the same company. Hope this is of help. Maggie
