Hi Lynn, there is a pram in my 1989 Britax catalouge like yours which is a Marmet by Britax, called the Berkeley. Yours would be an older model, being that it only says Marmet on the badge, & from the print lining. It would need 4 x 14 inch wheels, but.....the new wheels from SX might not fit this, depending on the diamter of your axle. The older axles are slightly larger than the newer models. Hope this info helps, Kathy

hi Pat i got some wheels for my york but it has a bigger axle with a nut,i did not notice this untill the hub caps were taken off even through the frame is the same as my duram rose in my pic , still they will do another pram some time, the york wheels i might get rechromed but for now its one of my rally prams. i always look now before i buy wheels as untill you take them off and look at the axle you cannot be sure about the fit, still you learn more as the yrs tick by , and thanks for the info you gave me about my hooding fabric Angela Hi Angela, Shezzy has answered one of the queries!! Yes the hubs have to have the same number of holes as the rims, otherwise you will either have too many spokes and not enough holes or the other way round! It's such a headache when you buy wheels, especially if you don't know what they came off, and as I said earlier it's just pot luck. The only sure way is to use a pair of calipers - which are like pincers which are used to measure gaps (photo attached) - and measure the diameter of your axles with them and then measure the gap between the ends of the calipers then you will know what the diameter of the wheel should be. Getting the seller to measure them may be more difficult!! By the way, I'm gutted! I can't wash my wheels in my dishwasher because my dishwasher is the slimline model boo hoooo! Pat.

I meant to say the diameter of the hole in the hub, not the diameter of the wheel!!Pat

thanks for that :) just tried silvercross wheels they fit but now im thinking the chassis does not belong with the pram as the metal bars that fit to the chassis do not fit on to pram :( i think it should fit on with 1 hook thing that goes in the middle of the pram and then is clipped on to the chassis ? hope this make sence . lynn.

HI Lynn. Does your pram body just have 1 rod that juts out at the centre of the pram then? Your chassis takes the model that would have 2 rods extending from each side of the pram body. Kathy

Pat, I can only do one wheel at a time the way my dishwasher is configured. The wheels & tires came out very nicely, I must say though! Kathy

The wheels have been in the dishwasher since these pics were taken and have come up so much better than I thought they would. I have found that when the wheels are put in the bottom basket that they come up much nicer than when they are in the top basket. I am putting on another pic of the hub caps to show the prongs. Many thanks! Linda Hi Linda, after paying £15 for a set of canopy adaptors 2 years ago so I could attach a traditional canopy to dolls prams without the knobs, I made my own shown in pic and does the same job.

Hi there, thanks for that, are you making/selling these adapters as I would be interested in a pair,I didn't even know these existed, just thought the pram was missing them.I've been trailing through some photos of vintage prams and some of the older dolls prams did seem to have a kind of canopy screw? Hi Sammy C. I have only just read your message (with sadness) We have just returned from a short break in turkey to bolster our energies for fighting for mums health (long story) Marmets are beautifull prams, tall, large and elegant. If yours has a loving family history like mine has then be proud of it. Prams, no matter what their make, if special to their owner are wonderful. Enjoy and be proud of yours ((((hugs)))) Chriss.

Hi Linda the dolls prams from the 1950/60 and 70s and some 80? did have butterfly canopy knobs for a fan canopy frame, some like pedigree marmet and some churchill dolls prams, had full canopy knobs like the baby prams ,i have dolls prams with butterfly canopy knobs and full size canopy knobs , but when the hoods were changed they did away with the screw on the hood frame, which the butterfly canopy knobs went onto.so you need to get the extra fitting to use the fan frame or use a clip on canopy frame hope this helps Angela

Tina, it looks like your canopy adaptors will certainly do the trick. Thanks for posting that photo. Kathy

Hello Linda. Try Baby Birds for your adaptors unless Tina [House of Prams] can help you. I bought a dolls canopy frame from them earlier this year and the adaptors, see pic, were included. I hadn't realised that there wasn't a canopy screw on the newer models and wondered what these 'pieces of metal' were for. However, I don't know whether they sell them without the frame but it is worth asking them. Hope this helps. Judith

Hi everyone, thank you all so much for your help and advice, I will try and buy the adapters without the canopy, but if they are a silly price I'll try and "adapt "some myself! Why on earth did Silvercross do away with the canopy knobs on the dolls prams? Love to you all,Linda xx
