Hello John

Your pram is a Wilson Anjou, it has the same design on the side of the body as the Chantilly but the Chantilly has 20x18 wheels and a 36" body with no coachlines and the Anjou has either 24x18 wheels or 22x16 wheels and a 40" body with coachlines around the edge of the body. From your picture I think yours has 22x16 wheels.

Pat.

i just had to share this with everyone on here as it has really made my day. i was driving down the road watching the road as i should (for once) and coming towards me in the distance was sparkling chrome and the whitest white wheels i have ever seen. as i got nearer i went goose bumps as a young lady probably in her early twenties was strolling towards me with what looked like a brand new silver cross kensington. some people may not see that as a big deal but believe me nobody and i mean NOBODY where i live has been seen using a carriage built pram possibly in the last 14years....not even a nanny or grandad have i spotted and i would be the first to spot them believe me.
the funniest part though to it was that the young lady was pushing and texting off her mobile at the same time haha. i am now having seen the kensigton in its glory been converted from only liking the c spring suspension to the collapsible types too now. all i can say is well done to charlotte church for bringing them back into fashion
sorry just had to share as no one else shares my passion for classic prams other than my mum who is still desperate to get one for my 17month old because i havent got the space or the access into my home i can just about get a naff modern one up the stairs and through the front door....the back door .... well nothing goes through that unless collapsed !
ps: dont think the old lady who does her shopping and uses her old soft bodied corduroy silver cross as a shopping trolley counts but it has been going strong for the past 20 year that i know off, she even takes her yorkshire terriers to the park in it she must be at least 90 bless her :-)

Hi Pat and Shezzy, OK OK. You caught me out, I lifted the picture from the internet as our Wilson is in two bits with the chassis here with me and the body at my daughters house. Actually the body is back here now but not reunited with the chassis yet. Ours is a 36” body with 20” & 18” wheels and no coachlines so I guess that makes it a Chantilly. Good luck with the elastic search. Thanks in anticipation.

Oh thank you Sammy.
I haven't laughed so much in a long time, maybe not your intended intention, but I know what you mean. As I am recovering from emergency root canal treatment this morning ( I am scared stiff of dentists, still, at my ahmm, tender age) you cheered me up no end. My husband thought I had definatly lost my marbles as I was laughing so much reading your missive.
So once again thank you
((((hugs))))) Chriss.

Sammy, I can imagine you delight at seeing the pram! We were in Bridlington a few weeks ago and a young couple walked by with what looked like a brand new Balmoral (or whatever the modern hcb models are called). I wanted to stop and chat to them but my friend thought I was crazy!!!! (they would have probably thought the same!) I have a Kensington for my grandchild, who is now too big for it, and I am thinking it is taking up a lot of space so maybe should sell it - but then again, it is so lovely I can't bear to part with it and who knows, I might have more grandkids someday!!!!!! I must admit I was like you at first and didn't like the detachable models, but this one is higher than the Tenby and Carlton but still detaches to fit into the car, so the best of both worlds really.

Why don't you try the Silver Cross company itself, based in Skipton Yorkshire, I am sure they will know why you are not getting any reply from Heritage.

Hello
I have been trying to find replacement tyres for my Leeway coachbuilt pram. It was first used by my sister 42 years ago. She pushed her two children in it and now I'm using it for my baby. It is lovely to push and great for shopping. Can anyone help me please to find tyres?
Thank you
Jane

Hi everyone I've not been on here for a while, so I dont know the situation on pram couriers. I'm just letting you all know my brother in law has just set him self up in the courier business again he's been doing it for years but had to take a brake from it to look after his wife who was ill but is better again. He know's i'm really into prams & what they mean to us, he collects & delivers so items wont be taken off & thrown around & put back on a different van, thats worldwide as well, he's got a website where you can contact him if any ones interested?

Well I have just saved myself a fortune by covering 4 of my old handles with the shrinkwrap covering from the chap on ebay. The 30mm size can be used for anything from a small Royale dolls handle to a babies Marmet handle. I have ordered the 45mm size as I have some thicker handles to do. Fantastic stuff. Cost incl postage for covering the 4 around £4
