Hi, my sister has a baby on the way and I was wondering if I could give her my daughters old pram. I went to look at it the other day and the material that is where the youngster sits had been broken through. Do you think its worth re-upholstering it? Or shall I buy a new pram altogether? If so, any ideas of where I could purchase one.
Thanks, Ed

have you looked through the thread. There's a lady called Alison Murfett who restores prams and has an excellent reputation. I don't think any restoration is particulary cheap but carriage prams are becoming very popular again and she may be able to advise you. regards jan

Hi I have just discovered a Wilson pram in my parent's loft, I have no idea what model it is, it's navy blue with a metal hard body, huge wheels and in need of some TLC. The body and wheel base look in really good condition with only one hub cap missing. It also has the original cover. It is very dirty. Do you think it's worth trying to restore or would anyone be interested in it? Where would I find out what model it is?

Thanks for reply. I can take a picture tomorrow. I just phoned my parents to get some more info. It is not a dolls pram. They think it is atleast 30 years old. Been in loft for long time. Chassis is navy with a white or silver line along it but on a second inspection it has dent one end, wheel base has large wheels and curved frame, in very good condition, apart from missing hub cap and rust. The interior is also navy, vinyl i think, with a platform at top end to sit baby up. Mice have been at interior and moth holes in hood. We are in banbury, oxfordshire. Price????

I have a 1960's London Baby Carriage, cream body and Blue hood but one of the hood arms is missing. Any ideas where I could get a replacement - I think an old wilson one may fit. Thanks

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a Swallow pram from the 1950' 60s. It has a wooden coachbuilt body that is detatchable from the chassis. The wheels are also deatachable. I would be very garateful if anyone knows where I could find one.
Yours Maggie

I have a Line Brothers, Pedigree, Windsor P15 Pram that was purchased in the 1960's that I would like to restore for my first grandchild, due in August, 2007. It's actually in pretty good condition and most of what needs to be polished or shined can be done with out much problems, but the rubber wheels need to be replaced as do the rubber seal type grommets (escutcheon?) that cover the steel shaft that attaches the body to the undercarriage. Does anyone know how or where I might find replacements for those?
Thank you so very much.
Jax
