Hi, my son has an XT50GY, it now wont start, after having trouble starting. We are going to check the cylinder valves, but does anyone know what the valve clearance should be. Someone in an earlier post does say 00.05 but don't say for which XT50 model.
Thanks in advance
Sonia

My advice is.......DON'T!!
I have one and within the first 3 months
The throttle jammed and I had to push it two miles home.
The horn / indicator box on the handlebar broke.
The back lights kept coming loose.
It started rusting
The kick start fell off
The chain came off continuously
The thing rattled really loudly
The automtic cut out came loose leaving wiring dangling.
Do you want to buy mine??
Pete

hi............
. iv had my kinroad XT50 for about three months and its fine the only probs i have is the the side stand comes down when i go over a hard bump making the engine cut out but also it can flip u off if u turn left making it dig in.....

Also i find that the tires dont have to good grip as i found out 2dai,when i went round a corner the back wheel went landing on my led trapping it given me bad road rash and a fractured foot.....lol

Rhys.................

Hi
Yes mine is playing up a bit too! The tick over is dodgy and the gear changing is rediculouse! I get into 2nd gear, sometimes it will run fine, but other times I change to 3rd, the revs just drop, although i'm giving it throttle! Anyone got any hints on why on earth its doing this? Its a "moody bike" as i have called it!
Jon

Hi Josh
My bike has totaly given up, I think its the gearbox or the Clutch alingment. Please take my advice, sort it before something major breaks, a professional machanic should sort in in an afternoon, the parts are dirt cheap so its only the labour you really have to worry about. Mine is still at home, waiting for the garage to have a free day to look at it.

Kind regards
JOn

Dan,
You should be able to obtain most parts from a company called xinling. I have had a lot of items from them including an engine upgrade kit from a 5occ to an 80cc you get a clyinder head barrel piston & rings and all the gaskets for £79. I have attached the web address below, they ar also very quick at sending items out.

Good luck
Ian
