For those who may remember my son's bike wouldn't start, we had someone look at it, it started, he went out, started for him to come home and we havn't had it started since. Anyway reason I am back here is I know someone on here had a manual for the bike and as I have someone coming to look at it on wednesday I would be greatful if it could be emailed to me at [Log in to view email] as so far we have been working blind. If anyone has any ideas as what it could be please feel free to throw them in my direction either direct by email or on here. The bike trys to start but just never actually starts, the worst problem is we have been told it could be something to do with the fly wheel (praying it's not). My son will be 17 next month, his dad got him the bike for his 16th and so far has spent more time off the road than on it (been parked up since December) Am very greatful for any advice at all. Oh it's an XT 50 GY if that makes any difference to the advice.
I was quite happily going along the other day, when my speedo decided to jump from 30mph - to 0mph, then 15mph, to 50mph! I think a wire has just come loose! Needs to be sorted ASAP! cant afford to get caught speeding!! Also my bike keeps just randomly cutting out, ill be going at 30-35, in 4th, then the revs will just die off, and my bike will cut out, the engine isnt hot, just warm, i was wondering if anyone knows what this is, or if any one has experienced it. Thanks Jade.x
wot i did was got a new cdi box and a sperk plug!
god its anoying going 35 i use to do 45! then i just stoped doing it!
Any small cylinder motorcycle should be properly set up and needs constant maintenance, they are not like modern cars that go for year after year without even opening the bonnet. If you buy one, be prepared to check all the nuts and bolts every couple of days, invest in some loctite and you will not have too many to tighten, the engine is based on a Honda design, they are pretty robust if looked after, but because they have not been checked by a mechanic initially, problems do arise, I have read about them being hard to start and not idling properly, this is more likely than not going to be valve clearances not being correct, the original spark plug is of low quality and it should be changed, the connectors in the ignition wiring should be checked as well, I see lots of people asking about a manual, if you go to http://www.hondaheaven.org/Album-C70_shopmanual.html you will find a manual for the C70, not the same bike, but wiring is similar and the troubleshooting section for the engine is exactly what you want, with the manual, a little bit of nouse, a test meter and even a basic toolkit you will have your bike running no problem. If anyone needs specific help, email me and I will try, If you need any parts for these bikes got to http://www.hypermotos.com and go to the parts page.

I've just purchased a Kinroad king50-xt50q,moped.2006 model, all is nearly ok on it?But i cannot start the bike by the starter push button{it is dead}.The battery is 1001% ok.This could well be question for the man himself-TERRYH,the king of kinroads. You sure do know your stuff Terry. Also Terry, would you by any chance have a copy of the user/ops manual?your humble servant{lol}. many thanks mike
When you press the starter button are you holding the front brake in ?. The reason I ask is my son's Kinroad which was brand new on starting with the electric starter did not require the front brake to be pulled and the we put another Magneto in it and after that you need to pull the front brake in before the starter button is live. Hope this helps. Cheers Ian.
take care
