i have 1 and they are crap chromes peeling and rusty (just been sent off 2 be re-chromed) i had a fuel leek from the petrol tank had 2 be welded (the fuel distroyed my air filter. had 2 be replaced) gear linkedge snaped 3 times had 2 be welded. now its been replaced with a steel thred bar changed the ht lead an spark plug changed the chain old 1 streched every few hundred miles.dnt get me rong its a gd littel engine but its poor grade metal. and the electrics are reali bad in heavy rain it cuts out in snow or cold weather the acelerater sticks open. take my advise u dnt want 1 of these unless u like pushing it 4 miles on end like iv had 2 i wuld say iv probly pushed this crock of *!#%!@ at least 20 miles all 2gether. cya

Hi Im really interested in all this kinroad stuff my first moped was a honda ss50 which im sure is the same engine. my mate said you could fit the head and barrel of a c70 honda on it but i never checked that out. how much bigger are the valves on the c50? apparently there is a 70cc big bore kit for the ajs regal raptor which would appear to be the same engine has anybody tried to use that? I am currently cosidering buyin one of these little customs for my son I have seen second hand ones going for a couple of hundred so it would seem that they are cheap :)

I bought an XT-50 Superbike for my son in may and within two weeks the magneto burnt out. The seller on ebay has disappeared and as per previous comments no-one wants to supply parts if they didn't supply the bike. Is the engine the same as the Honda unit? Has anyone correlated all the various info yet? Would it be worth all us unsatisfied owners getting together to contact the factory and point out the situation here and possibly set up a self-help group to obtain parts direct? I have space and workshop facilities in Devon but not the finance. Any suggestions on these points would be gratefully received. Regards to all, Geoff

Thanks for the info mate, I did actually make contact with the factory in China but the reply is in very broken English and I'm still trying to work out wether I can order one bit direct or it has to be a container load!!!! I'll get on to motomania staright away. Funny it should be Hinckley, had a girlfriend there a couple of years back but that's another story!! Cheers Geoff
