I bought a kinroad xt50 for my son for his 16th birthday, i am now in the process of trying to get my money back. We have had it less than 2 weeks and below is list of probs:
Gasket blown Exhaust bolts all popped off speedo broken rev counter broken accelerator cable stuck on clutch gone
had it repaired by company i bought it from
after 2 days following repair the exhaust gone again, 2nd rev counter also broken after 10 miles, etc etc list is endless.
Whether i have been unlucky i have no idea but it was either assembled by the dealer so badly, it lead to above faults or they are a cheap import. My local bike dealer won't touch it and he says he will not deal with any Chinese imports, too much goes wrong.
I would stick to buying uk registered bike from reputable dealer with good afterservice!

Sold my kinroad xt50gy for £500 after buying it for £775.. made a loss of almost £300 and only put 800km on the clock. These bikes are crap and unreliable. Stick to the well known makes is my advice.

hi the lights should only come on when the bike is running and get brighter when the throttle is open so yor bike is fine.

Hi
I notice that you have some Kinroad parts, we bought my step son one and he has trashed it, rather than throw it away I am trying to repair it.
If you still have the parts please let me know. The model we have is the XT50GY
Many Thanks
Mike

basically i had a kinroad xt50gy and it was an absolute pile of ****! ill list the problems i had! : -a snapped spoke on the back wheel, -engine mount was unstable and snapped on multiple occasions, -the yolk worked itself loose very often, -chain snapped on me after 3 days -the spark plug it comes with is crap and it fouls within a week, your best bet is to find the NGK equivilent if youre stupid enough to buy a cheap chinese bike. -the petrol tap snapped after 1500 miles, -the wiring to the rear light coroded and broke inside the loom, the throttle cable snapped on several occasions leaving me stranded in various places at stupid hours of the night. -kickstand sensor broke straight away on my CBT (lucky i carry a tool kit) -its a ****to start on cold mornings - the exhaust mounting studs on the cylinder head snapped off due to movement from the engine from the fault engine mounts - the gear change broke (its a rose joint and once theyre set, they aint supposed to come apart, yet mine did somehow) -the speedo was inaccurate - the suppliers say 28mph restricted, 36mph derestricted - RUBBISH!! it did 32 with a K&N filter and derestricted CDi. my advice is dont buy it cuz it will quite literally fall apart. if the price seems too good to be true then it probobly is!!

Hi Mate,
You posted your message a while ago, but how did you sort out the cylinder heads. Mine seems to have a problem with bad weather only had it a few weeks and I can't get it started.. Tried cleaning the spark plug, but nothing.
Cheers

Have the same problem with my step sons!
Have a look in the magneto cover (the ally cover on the gear stick side), the 1 we have tends to fill up with water.
Try this, and perhaps let me know.

the CDi is the black box just in front of the battery box, you can derestrict a restcted one, you have to buy a different CDi, i really wouldnt go anywhere near the magneto if you want the thing to start again. if you do buy onw put it through a service before youve even got it on the road because it will fall apart if you dont!
and remember have fun! i did!
