my escort has 7 seats we use 6 4kids 2 adults do you think it would be ok to tow a 12 ft caravan the engine is in good condition as the cam belt broke and i had it re conditioned as there was a lot of damage it broke after only 20000 miles due to broken water pump expensive lesson all ideas welcomed.

I would doubt the engine will put up with the strain of a caravan as the turbo will be boosting virtually all the time if the car fully laden aswell. You really need something with a bit more grunt(petrol engine) as with 90 bhp you`re gonna struggle, espeicially up hills/slopes.
