hi my friends ridgeback is 1 year old and has just been diagnosed with hip dysplasia beyond surgery and they are gutted.
does anyone have any stories with regards to this or any words of comfort and hope that i could pass on.
(also to help me cos i love her to bits and she is my baby's (see pic) best mate)

Hi Jay,
My 10 month of German shepherd had stage 10 out of 10 hip dysplasia. She could not be saved. If I could do anything for you I would be more then happy to give him/her some comforting words. I had a german shepard (she was a present from my 15 year old uncle when i was born) she had to be put down when i was 10 years old she was my best friend. she was also 10 years old, i'm 20 now and still think about her all the time, i dont think theres much you can do or say to ease the pain of losing a best friend be it animal or human, my advice ....... just be there as a friend as a shoulder to cry on or to talk to when times are hard.
