I am going to Goa in Jan 2001. Has anyone been there? What essential things should I know? I'm staying in Central Goa - anyone know what it's like and is malaria a problem? Thanks!

Yes..I went to Goa - it is brilliant! It depends what you are after however... the beaches are beautiful but not the most beautiful I've ever seen (for this go to the Phillipines or Thailand!)...tell me what you are looking for and I'll tell you the best place to stay in Goa.

Hello Maria thanks for your reply well i like the beach to an extent and snorkeling in the sea. I also like to get around and explore the area either in a car or even better a jeep or if push comes to shove a motorcycle.
What did you get up to whilst there let me know
