Anyone an idea what sort of power and torque a Suzuki SJ410/413 transfer box can handle ?
I've an old CJ-5 Jeep (part dismantled with many items missing or poor state so rebuilding to "original" not viable) and am looking at alternative drivetrains during a rebuild.
The axles are being changed for Series Land Rover items and I've yet 100% to decide on what engine / gearbox to use. All I can say for definate is that it'll be diesel engine - maybe 2.3/2.5 Peugeot out of Sierra / LDV or Transit 2.5 Di.
What appeals instead of trying to mate a gearbox to a transfer box is the way the Suzuki itme is seperate and therefore ang RWD gearbox can be used / swopped at later date.

Thanks but I'm not after recommendations as to what might be better and am just interested in the Suzuki tranfer box at present.
