I recently came off my bike and
although I didn't really injure
myself my injuries were worst
because I wasn't wearing proper
gloves, they were actually cheap
ones I got from a boot sale. I am
now aware of the fact that before
I get on my bike again I need to
invest in a suitable pair of
gloves, but how much do I spend,
£70, £100, more?? Any advice would
be most appreciated.

Can you hang on until May? I buy a new pair of gloves every May at the BMF rally (http://www.bmf.co.uk) for £10 from the Frank Thomas clearance tent - they're seconds but it's usually cosmetic. Some of them would retail at £50 and there's usually loads of bargains to be had :o)
