Hi There! Just signed up today as we have a new addition to our family. We were after something "quirky" & cheap to runabout in but had no idea that we'd end up with such a cracker! Check out the ad we saw here. . . .

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl......AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

This must be one of the best around, but I'm sure some of you will know better. . .

The idea of a Ferrari that you can fill up for £15 & does 60mpg seems like a dream - However, it ain't gonna be that easy I'm sure. So, any tips for the novice 126'er would be greatly appreciated, what major things are likely to go wrong & which kinds of preventative maintenance would you recommend - that sort of thing.

Looking forward to being in your Gang!

Regards,

.C. :-)

lol

yes i saw that one Ebay too.. have you purchased that one?
...you do realise that a fiat 126 is as close to being a ferrari as your long lost third brothers half sisters cousins step daughter !!!!

lol but there still lots of fun and theres literally hundreds of different aftermarket tuning parts for them, have a look at the links on http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/fiat126/ or http://www.Fiat126club.uk for ideas images and people to talk to about the little washing machines

cheers Doug

Top man! I agree about the family sentiments but is it not true that Ferrari are owned by Fiat ? In which case the family ties are quite close! All the same, he's such a quirky little guy - so loveable! & a surprising amount of people really do believe he's a genuine Ferrari!!

Please watch this space for updates. Priorities at the mo are getting the carb flat spots sorted, MOTing & taxing him then getting alloys & a new interior. Still a bit stuck on someone local to Huddersfield that can help with the technical side - So if there's anyone out there with a helping hand please give me a shout!
