Hello, my name is Des and Im an (alcholic) a punto owner....My HLX punto is cutting out on me....To pass my MOT i did some work on the punto changed spark plugs, air filter, temp coolant sensor, lambda sensor and i put STP into the fuel tank....my car had bad emissions and this work solved my problems and got me through the test!!!
However now my car is cutting out on me....when I slow down in traffic my punto cuts out and wont restart at all....no lights on the dashboard at all...after 30 mins to 1 hr it starts back up again with no problem...i thought it was the battery but i charged the battery and the radio and windows work ok....can you help, is this an ignition problem or a baterry problem or a fuel blockage problem....please help!!!

Pleeeease help me Fiat Man!! I'm gradually starting to hate my punto! I have had to get the RAC out twice in 2 days! At first they told me the wires that control the temp etc had been getting caught in the can belt so he cable tied them up....1/2 hour later it conked out again! Starts for a min and then just dies out, the temp gauge shoots up to the red on its own and the alarm tries to come on for no reason, the second RAC man said I need to take it to a spark, do you reckon its going to cost me a bomb?

I have a fiat ducato 10 camper van.swb .1992 K reg I'd be very interested in any info. you could send me as there is no Haynes manual. The major problem I have at present is that the heating is always on. How do you get to the heater matrix? Also gear linkage is sloppy. Can it be tightened? The clutch is v. stiff- could it be the cable or is it a sign that the clutch is going? thanks for your help, J

Hey Fiat Man. Please, my fiat manual was stolen ages ago (and I now understand why, seem to be hard to come by) and my car recently isn't responding to my keys and the alarm keeps going on. I thought I'd try to switch it off with my fiat code card... but I don't know how to use it! Any info, PLEASE!

hi, can you help me if possible please, i have a fiat punto 51 plate, i have recently had a new ecu fitted as it was only running on two cylinders, it came back from the garage with that problem cured, but it now cuts out, and wont restart for at least 10mins unless the battery is disconnected and reconnected, ive just had rps sensor (think thats whats its called) as fiat suggested that may b the problem but that still hasnt cured it! have you got any idea what could be causing this, and could it be the garage who originally replaced ecu who could have caused the problem? thanks

Hi Fiat Man, just wondered if you could help me, ive just got a 2000 multipla diesel and the horn doesnt work, the fuse is ok, i have removed the airbag and tested at the horn connections (12v present) shorted the connections out but it still didnt work (not getting 12v at the horn) so im presuming its the horn relay, can you tell me which relay it is because there looks as though there are far too many fuses and relays for my liking. many thanks Peter

hi mazza, ive got a brava 1600 16v on a 51 plate.its running rich as hell, loads of carbon from the exhaust when you hit the throttle.its got some codes stored for intake air temp sens, coolant temp sensor, throttle potentiometre fault and injector no3 fault and cam sensor fault(has had a wiring repair done poorly before).starts and runs rough all the time.i had the inlet off and checked the injectors are all working and not leaking or stuck open but they are all ok.replaced coolant temp sensor but still got temp sensor fault??when i check on the scanner the is no voltage showing for the lambda probe and its stuck on rich????suspect possible module fault?visual check of the loom shows no signs of damage and im stummped!!!!!!!!!!!!!please help cheers.steve 07769694430

Could you please help me? I accidentially put power-steering fluid into my engine coolant. I managed to drain about 3/4 of what I put in. I then rinsed the reservoir with water. I think I got most of what was left out. What should I do now?
