I have a roll top bath which is in reasonable condition, I would like it resurfaced inside and outside so it all matches and looks new.

I have been quoted £575 including vat for the job, is this a good price? or should I shop around?

Pics of the bath can be downloaded here: http://www.ebayitem.biz/Bath.zip

erm...in a word..NO! If you're talking about in-situ resurfacing , then a price of around 200 pounds would be reasonable.

The price you mention would only be OK if the bath was actually taken away for vitreous re-enamelling in a kiln.

Many thanks for a quick response, I just thought I would point out that the quote was to prime & resurface the outside of the bath as well as resurfacing the inside... I have included a link to pics of my bath in my previous post to give you an idea of the condition of the bath.

Afraid answer is still NO...A reasonable price would be 250 pounds to do both inside and out, including prime. If you are in either London area or Scotland I could organise this work at that price..and it would include 5 year guarantee.

thanks again for a very quick response, unfortunately I am in Liverpool so as much as I would like to accept your offer to assist, I'm afraid i am a little too far away. Do you know of any reputable company in the Liverpool area who don't charge an arm & a leg for resurfacing?

Hi there!

Our bath is now 6 years old, it looks slightly stained and feels 'grainy' and not polished. It is becoming increasingly difficult to clean/remove the stains. Is there anyone in North Lincolnshire/Hull/East coast area who can quote me for repolishing - or whatever it requires please?

Thank you, Mildred :)

Hi Andy

I live in Devon and was wondering if you are still re-enamelling baths and if so would you give me a quote? My bath is in fairly good condition it's just flaking a bit. We will be redecorating the bathroom and it would be good if the bath looks good too.

We have an old cast iron bath that is quite pitted and stained and needs resurfacing. I have attached a picture. How much approximately would it cost to get it resurfaced? We don't want to do a DIY job - we'd like a professional to do it - and it would preferably be done in situ. We are in the St Albans area, so any local recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks for your help.
