Sorry this does not help me. The number shown shuld start wit M, C or L then have 6 diits following. eg MXXXXXX or XXXXXX or LXXXXXX can you try again?

Odd enough I tried again and nothing happens, it's a CDR 4600, is there any specific way to do it?Hold 6 for how many seconds then 2? 5 then 3? Thanks

I tried to do it however my cd player has no sticker with any number starting with M, only this:7AA910497
97FU-18C815-AA.

Confirm hold down 6 for 30 secs then press 3 while still holding down 6. Then release both 2 and 6. The number you give is not the one that should show. It should be Mxxxxxx or Lxxxxxx or even Cxxxxxx. Are the numbers you gave previously from the Radio case or from the CD case? The numbers from the Radio case is the one needed to help usDoug

Hi dan,
remove your cd player, read the serial no. and then go to http://www.floodle.net/extra/ebayinfo/......dio_decode.html and download decoder software. Type your serial no. and you'll get the code...
10 means that someone tried 10 times, and typed wrong code, and that also means that you have only 3 times left before you have to go to the service to unlock your cd player. So, be careful this time...

Doug, sorry but I don't get it, my CDR 4600 has both CD and Radio together and the only numbers I could read were those, do I need to open the radio case and get a number from inside or something like that?Is it 6 + 2 or 6 + 3? 6 + 1 Works but gives away that weird number XX-XX-XX. Ford wants around 90 US dollars to unlock it, I'd rather buy a new one for that price.

If you are using Vista you may find that there is a missing DLL which causes the Ford decoder not to run Download and unzip MSVBVM50.DLL for free from the windows microsoft update siteDoug

Mine was made in Brazil, I am not sure if there is a difference, my Ford Mondeo itself was imported from Europe.Gonna try to play around with 6+2... Would you know by a chance if I would find these number INSIDE the radio? Thanks very much!
