I have a ford 2006 RDS radio fitted to my motorhome the serial number is M447150, can anyone suggest a code for this radio as I want to swop it with the radio in my rover car.
If you can I also need to know how to enter the code.

Hi Willy,
If you disconnect the radio you will lose the code so use code 5058 when you need to connect the stereo back up.

Ford Radio model 2006, can anybody supply the wiring diagram (wiring colour codes) for the power and speaker plugs?.
I have managed to input the correct code (thanks to 'warby') but need the wiring diagram to install it into my rover.

I've just found this site while trying to sort out my radio and cd player so I haven't fully investigated it yet but it looks a good 'find'
Please I need some urgent help if someone can ... I have just taken my Excort Convertible out of winter mothballs and found a flat battery ... I cannot find the codes for both the radio and the (separate) cd player ... the radio Serial is M040019 and the CD is 0031135 ... can anyone help me please I am starting a journey early tomorrow (6:00) and would like to have some music!!

Hi Farmer,
You Radio serial is 8387.
As for the CD player, is it prefixed with an M??? If so your code is 2489.

Thanks Warby, great service!! ... wish Ford would employ you as Customer Services Manager ... I will try the codes, the CD player simply says ... "SERIAL NO. 00'31135" I've added the 'apostrophe' as it's like that on the number but it may me a blemish!!

No worries Farmer, i am a customer service manager but not for Fords lol.
Hope it works for the CD player mate, if not can you get me some more info as to what the model is and will see if i can help.
At least you will have some music on your early start tomorrow.

Warby, the radio code works fine thanks but cannot get the CD player code to enter ... can type the code OK but how do I actually 'enter' it into the player? Tried every button but nothing works!!

Usually the number 5 button is the one to enter the code.
Do you have the version of CD player by any chance mate??

Thanks for your continued interest Warby ... the unit is a Ford 2040 CD player, note it is a separate unit to the radio, it doesn't have a No. 5 button, it only has cd controls, not even an on/off button!!
