hi Tony. Yes Sovereign was made by Mardon. Your weights mean nothing to me as faras identity is concerned. Depending on its age it will eitherhave a chassis number on the nearside of the A Frame orthe later ones hada numberstamped into the chassis under the tow hitch (facing forward). The models made between 1976 and 1982 were called Ruby, Jade, Coral, Diamond and Diadem. In 83 to 85 theyweresimply 12/2 12/4 14/5 and 17'. Regards Mark http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Dont want to disappoint you but the SV was a special lighter Sprite built in 1981 1nd 1982. Check the serial number on the A Frame and that will confirm its age. regards, Mark http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi your Glodestar should have 3 front windows (as opposed to the large one piece bow fronted window) It should have MK2 in the serial number? If it is MK1 then it is a 1988. If it hasthe bow window then start worrying! Regards, Mark

Thanks for your help - we paid £1400 and it's in good condition. No leaks, no bumps, dents or scratches to speak of. Curtains were a bit faded but a packet of dye has worked wonders, upholstery clean and complete. It's had a new carpet and the cooker and fridge are clean and working. Was this a fair price?
One more question. The curtains have a plastic tape with studs which fit into the rails. Do you know if this stuff is available to buy as it could do with replacing.
Thanks again
Irena

Hi Andy your Kingfisher has an ex works weight of 857kg and a loaded weight of 1060kg which means most 2 litre towcars with a kerbweight ofat least 1300kg would suffice. The van hasan internal length of 4.39m and will comfortably sleep 2 large adults in the front either in singles or as a king size double. At the rear is your dinette single with a childs bunk on top. You should also have the benefit of a fitted cassette toilet. They were generally fairly water resistant but watch out for the front windows and particularly under the side windows and front corner where damp often appears. The blinds in these areas are often in need of attention! Also look out for the floor in the kitchen area which will probably be spongy although can be easily remedied. Hope this helps. regards, mark. http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk
