Hi
I have what was advertised as a 1991 Bucanner Elan 14/2 . The info plate just indsie the door has been torn and I am trying to
1) Get the unladen weight and maximum laden weight. The plate on the chassis infront of the offside wheel says 960KGs
2) I am looking for a handbook for this model, any help in this regard would be much appreciated.
The van has triple front windows, hot water (gas onl) electric toilet and kitchen to rear.

Hi MrT a 91 Elan 14/2 should be fitted with a Cascade Gas/Electric water heater so i would suggest it could be the previous year? In which case the unladen weight was 844kg with a max of 1092kg....... 960kg is more like the unladen weight of an Elan 15/2 from 1989? Cheers, Mark

Hi , we are breaking a lunar clubman 450 2 ? and have never really known the age , were told it's early eighties ( no plate ) and just wondered if you can help with the exact age incase anyone wants some spares etc , its an end kitchen , 2 berth ( thats the end thats gone bad ) think it was the luxury model of it's day , had water heater etc , and the cupboards , lockers etc are still in very good condition ( even better if it's before 1980 ? thanks in anticipation .

Hello,
I have bought a ABI Marauder 450 CT Stirling which I have been told is an 1989. As I take delivery in a couple of weeks how can find out the year with more certainty? I have been told the chassis number is 910397

Hi Arne i presume it is just a ABI Marauder 450CT - as a Stirling is a different make? The serial number isnt complete and there should be some more numbers/letters. It will be between 1986 and 1991. If it is a 1989 it will be green in colour with the gas bottle locker fitted above the offside roadwheel. Try and get a more detailed Vin No. or maybe a pic? Regards, Mark

Hi, I think the Stirling bit is because it may have been a dealers model. There was a sticker on the back window for a long gone caravan dealership which used to sell ABI caravans just outside the town of Stirling. The caravan is green, with a gas bottle above the off side road wheel as you said. It has been with the same people since it was purchased new. The numbers on the plate by the door which gives the weight are very hard to read but they are something like M1AB186401? I wont see the van until next weekend.

OK Arne thats the one! That makes it a 1989 or a 1990. ABI in their wisdom made the 2 vans the same colour, with the same upholstery, same curtains, same carpet, same coloured sink etc. If you have been told 89 than thats what i would go with. If you look on the hitch head itself it could well have a "year" stamped into it. Cheers, Mark

Hi Darren the answer is similar to the Marauder above! ABI made the MK2 Monza from 1990 in a 390/400/450 and 500. As it doesnt have a CRIS number yours is either 1990 or 1991. There should be a number stamped into the chassis on the nearside rail. This number will tell you the year. Cheers, Mark
