Hi Ian they made the Trophy Olympic Silver 510/6 in 1989 and 1990. You should find the VIN number stamped into the A frame - you may well have to remove the plastic Aframe cover as they were awkward to locate. Cheers, Mark ps seen your pic and it confirms what i say above. The VIN number wont be on a "plate" it will be stamped.

Yes Nathan you are correct with your 2 window theory. I would certainly suggest a proper look at the VIN number. It could well be a 92 or 93 model not purchased new till 1995 hence the registration date will be 95 - doesnt make it any younger tho !

Hi Mark, its Kate. I was asking a while ago about our eldiss wisp 350/2 and just wanted to ask you if there is somewhere we can get any sort of paperwork/handbook about it. I saw from the forum that you have been able to help other people. It is a 1995 model. If you can help, thank you very much.

Regards Kate

Hay N Hi
I've just found this site; & hope you could help me. I have a Sprite Alpine Caravan that I wish to rebuild/restore (please dont laugh to hard) Its a 1970 to about 1975; and yes it dos (? do/doz' ?) need some work and some TLC also!!!
I don't have much on her, just a VIN# n she's mine, sitting in my yard waiting on a new life. Here is what I do have and know: Sprite Alpine VIN# X70282. The best I could find out is that it was sold in up state New York in the early 70's, and later Registered in the state of Virginia (aprox '76), and is now in my yard in North Carolina .

Ingus:
It appears that you think I live / reside in the UK. I’m sorry if I gave you that impression. In fact my home is in Durham (really Hillsborough) North Carolina U.S.A. (aka America).
It just seems that here state side or on this side of the “pond” this type of camper trailer (Apparently the Brits call them Caravans) they just are not that big of a hit!! That’s a shame because they’re just right in my opinion for one or two people; and don’t take my “Man Card” but they are cute.
I know I have my work cut out for me to rebuild it. As it seems that my dream of restoring it is now out because of the high $$ amount it would take on a proper restoration job. On top of that all the Parts are over there, not over here (shipping would be a bugger!). As an example it would cost (as near as I can tell) somewhere around $250.00 to $350.00 for a spare tire. I think that’s about £100.00 to £200.00 for purchase & shipping of one tire (OUCH!!)
BUT ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated and accepted.
I want, and will have her on the road again!!

hello.
I wasn't sure if this was the place to ask, but my sister has a 2 berth Monza there is a number on the side 380/2, and i think it is about a 1987 model. What I wanted to know was if anyone knew how long it was. It might seem a bizarre question, but the caravan is stored over 200 miles away at the coast, she is getting married in Aug and I wanted to buy them an awning. Obviously I don't want to ask her exactly how long it is, because she will know why and I will be ruining the surprise.
I was looking at getting them a second hand one from ebay, and as she doesn't have one at the moment as long as it is approx the right size, and not way off it would be great. Can anyone help?

Hi Tracy i dont normally respond to "awnings" but seeing as its a good cause! 1987 will be about right. The 390/2 had an overall length of 15'10". The body length was 12'4". HOWEVER an awning size goes by the measurement around the rail from ground to ground. The Monza was quite slopy at the front so you may find the "measurement" is quite low. I dont want to quote a size and then be slated by an EBayer or otherwise so i take no responsibility for your outcome BUT.... you should find a 740cm is about right which will probably be advertised as a 11' to 12' awning. You will find on Ebay tho that people just mis describe things anyway so beware! Good luck, Mark p.s. maybe it wont be a surprise any more if she reads this! :--------))
