Hi Niki you don't say what make/model your caravan is but from the number all I can say is that it's a 1989 Avondale *******. It may be a Leda or A Perle? I will need the model name please. Regards, Mark

Hi Anne the number of your Sprite Compact does'nt mean anything to me? However I can tell you that the model was only made for 2 years in 1982 and 1983. Both were yellow in colour and had a pop up roof. The 82 model had a white stripe and the 83 has a brick red coloured stripe. Cheers, Mark

Thank you for your message, i think our compact will be an 82 as we have got a brick red on the side of the van. We have also had the van sprayed an off white as we did not like the yellow, it looks lovely.Thank you again. Anne

Ok Niki they made an Olympus DD (double dinette at each end) and a SB 5 berth which had a double at the front and a pull out settee bed at the rear with a bunk over.
14'6" internal length
19'5" overall

Both were 674kg unladen, the SB was 900kg max and the DD 950kg max

The "Custom" pack included heater, upgraded upholstery, spotlights, electric distribution panel and vanity unit.

You are best to measure for an awning using a piece of string ground to ground. You "should" come up with a measurement of around 850cm?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi,
I have recently purchased a rather tired Swift Corvette which I am in the process of providing the TLC it needed. The previous owner did not know the age, but from some of the fitments I guessed it to be around 1989. I have now managed to uncover the chassis number which is 885W019960 I suspect therefore it's an 88 van, can you confirm it for me please.
Many thanks
Robin

Hello,
We have had our bailey Auvergne SE caravan or 3 years & now thinking of selling..log book says 1993 but looking at cris web site it says that from 92 all van windows should be etched with vin..Is this correct??I am concerned that I was sold a dodgy van all those years ago!
Thanks for any advice x

When I was searching web sites earlier & it said the same, that 1st two numbers after the letters in serial number are the year.Believe this is same on all vans. Mine is a bailey & serial number links to year on log book.(I am no expert though!)

your van is up untill 1992, because from 1993 all caravans had the CRIS
registration number stamped on every window of the van.

Eldrew, CRIS numbers started in September 1991 for the 1992 model year, hence all 1992 English caravans have the CRIS numbers stamped on the windows and the chassis. What exactly is your "LOG BOOK" that states 1993? Is it an NCC certificate or is it a CRIS Log book/registration document as the two do get confused? Whichever it is it will have a VIN number/ serial number on it and this should match the one on the caravan! Regards, Mark
