Kenny, the serial number for your Nightstar should be on a plate by the door. Otherwise post a pic on to the website. Cheers, Mark

Hi Kenny, from your pics I can narrow it down to 1988 to 1991. I notice it has a cassette toilet fitted which was an option in 1990 and standard in 1991 (although it could have been retro fitted?) I see yours is a twin axle version which made the earlier models toilet compartment too small for a cassette toilet and the fact that yours has one fitted indicates it should be a later model. The 88/89 had green curtains/pelmets, the 1990 were brown while the 1991 were pink! You may find a VIN number stamped into the A frame which could mean removing the fairing cover.
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark

I *think* our caravan is a 1979 model But would love you to try and help us clarify which year its from!

It's a swift corniche 16/4, Looks like it had bunk beds maybe near the back end of the caravan!
It has a hot and cold tap on the side of the sink (next to where your body is when using the sink)
It has 3 large front and rear windows, each covered in thick black rubber seals.
She makes 2 double beds, one is large enough to sleep 3 adults!

It has a clock and radio installed and looks pretty plush for an old 'van, carpet is thick and brown and the curtains are a brown and there is a divider in the van near the large double bed end (rear of the 'van)

Not sure if I can get to the chassis number but will take a pic and publish if I know how..

Thanks for your help

Sonia

Hi Sonia those large red and blue "Aquaflow" taps were fairly unique to swift at that time!. The 16/4 with hot water was 1981 to 1985. Distinguishing points will be has it got a green or a yellow band? has it got a Cascade 1 or 2 water heater? Your description of the windows indicate it won't be 84/85. Cheers, Mark

Hi,
We've just purchased a Concorde 440 second hand. We have no information about it at all. I'm guessing its circa '84-87, but we have no idea who manufactured it, as we can't find the chassis no. Any ideas??
In anticipation of a reply,
Karen

Hi Karen, There is'nt much information around on the Concorde. We had one in the same as yours a few years ago which dated in the mid 90's so you may find it is newer than you think? Thing is they looked much older than they actually were (design/panels etc) and had louvered doors inside if I remember rightly which looked very 80's? and they were'nt registered with C.R.I.S. Is there a number on it anywhere?

The 440 we had was 18'6" overall, 13'5" internal and had an unladen weight of just 730kg . It was quite well appointed with cascade water heater, fridge, 4 burner hob, double glazing, mains electric etc.

They were marketed by South Yorkshire Caravans

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark
We have just been given an old caravan and would like to do it up a bit. We were wondering the age, it looks very 70's underneath the recovered seats, all we know is it has C1 Ecceles Topaz/2 on the plate on the side, no vin number but the chassis number is T74/3121. Thats all I can read apart from Fordham Road, New(something) England. It has an old gas light and is 2/4 berth, with bunks above the seating area. The kitchen is at the back of the van as you walk in the door and a small toilet next to it. The windows are glass. Thanks Jayne

Hi - can you help me date my Bailey Maestro - with a B&B chassis number that I think is 46883. I think it dates to 1969 or 1970.

Many thank - Simon

Thanks in advance

Hi Jayne. You have a 1974 CI Eccles Topaz 2 berth made in NewMARKET. They made a Topaz 4 as well which was the 4 berth version so I presume the bunks in yours have been fitted as extra. Regards, Mark

Hi Simon you are pretty much spot on with the year of your Bailey Maestro. The B&B number is a 1970 model. Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark - the clue was an instruction leaflet for the gas hob with a print date of November 1968.

Here's a question for you - what are the dimensions of the body of a Sprite Compact?

OK Simon, the Sprite Compact had a body length of 12'2" and a width of 6' 9 1/2",

Overall shiipping length was 15'8". Dimensions very similar to the Topaz in fact.

Mark

Thanks Mark - money and sae will be in the post tomorrow - I don't suppose you know anything about the roof vent fitted in the 1981 Sprite Musketeer ? It's 17.1/2" x 19.1/2" or 440mm x 490mm aperture and I can't track down a replacement anywhere near that size. I can't see a makers name on it anywhere.

I'm relying on you as the 'font of all knowledge' !!!

Angela
