Hi
can you help please where can I buy
bits and pieces to renovate a 1985 Cavalier 19ft caravan Just bought one
good to go on outside but needs TLC on inside I have tried serching internet.

hi mark just found this site i have an adria supra 400c it has been ripped out of all its kitchen i have rebuilt the seating area i am in the middle of rewiring it for 12 volts.and 240 mains.the person who i got it off took most of the inside for a motorhome conversion,i am having no luck in finding any details of this model anywhere,any photos or advice would be gratefull thanks

Hi Mark, I Know this is an ubusual question for this topic but you recently dated our ABI Award 14/4 as a 1981 model for us and we were also wondering now if you happen to know what the tyre pressures on the van should be as we dont seem to be able to find them anywhere. Thanks Donna

I bought a CI Alpine Sprite for £150
Its white with the Classic Orange/Brown stripe round it. It has plastic windows so I thought I was a 80's model but it still has one Gas Mantle in and an old Gas Heater which we took out for safety's sake. It has the old 'stretcher' hammock. We cant find any plates and we have had to store it miles away as the neighbours complained about it 'lowering the tone' of the area! We need an approx age, weight etc as we had a Nissan Almero Tino 1.8 for towing but the company car offered now is a Ford KA! We need to buy another car but dont know what would safely pull it, without knowing the weight. Thanks - Jules

Hi Mark
New to this forum found it very interesting. Can you help been given free an Elddis Mistral told it was a 1976 model. Found on the chasis found B & B trailers Ltd Leamington SPA 205193.

Hi sorry your van royce chassis numbers mean nothing to me. If it is a 92 it would vave the CRIS numbers on the windows and stamped on the aframe. Previous to this ther should be a VIN number stamped to the nearside of the aframe just under the van. Cheers, Mark

Hi in 1980 awning measurements werent just as accurate as they are nowadays hoever according to my records it took a size 15 which ranged from 838 to 868cm. i would say if you got an 850cm awning you should be ok regards, Mark http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi Jules yes you are right the Ka wont tow the Alpine, my son has a Streetka which may just about tow a trailer tent (starting at £2295 if you want one!) The Alpine will be 1980 to 1982 from your description they weighed 580kg when new but they were very basic. Any car that weighs 1000kg or more should be ok to tow it starting at say a 1.6 Escort, Astra or a Golf. regards, Mark http://www.callendercarvans.co.uk

Hi Donna much depends on the size of the tyres on the van i presume it wont still have the priginal cross plys on it?? These had a higher pressure than radials, unless, as is common nowadays they are 'c' rated van tyres. I would assume it has 155x R13 tyres on it which are generally inflated to around 35lb if they are reinforced then this would increase to about 42lb. A 165 x 13 you would add 2lb to this. Hi the Monza 1200S is between 1980 and 1982. If it has a "pebble dashed" outer skin with a maroon stripe it is a 1980. If it has smooth outer skin with brown/orange coachlines and a B&B chassis it is a 1981. If it has an Alko chassis/hitch it is an 82. Regards, Mark http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

I have a 1981 abbey gt 12 or 212, i can't remember, two berth caravan, please could you tell me what size awning i would need for it please. And is there anywhere that i could get spare parts for it, especially for the water pump and connections please. Thankyou.
