Hi Mark, we have a sprite alpine 2 berth that we would like to know the age of, it has sprite alpine 2 on the plate and is followed by x87 329174, your help would be appreciated , thanks ! Andy.

OK Isobel, in that case your 91 model will have pink carpet with matching velvet curtains and very light coloured furniture. Regards, Mark

Hi again Andy I can't recall a "disc" being on the roof? Some caravans have a saucer sized mushroom vent which is maybe what you mean? Is there a vent on the ceiling underneath? Alternatively it may be a solar panel? If not I would suggest the roof has had a dint in it and somebody has covered it.Post a pic. if you are still no wiser. Cheers, Mark

Hi mark we have a abi marauder 450s 5 berth but we cant find a vin number. Would you have any idea what year it would be roughly we would be most greatful. We believe it to be late 80's but was sold to us with year of 95 but we have seen stickers of camping trips with 93 on.

Hi MrsH. the Marauder 450 was 1986 to 1993. Is it predominantly green, or has it got yellow and brown bands, a blue band or is it a caramel coloured band? Posting a pic would be easier :---)

caravan has a blue line running from where it says 450s and underneath is a browny/caramel colour thick line

OK that makes it so much easier! You have a 1987 model Marauder ~ only 8 years older than you were first sold it as! :----)

Mark Thank you for that Info I have just sold that caravan and now have a 1989 Avendale wren 2 birth any chance of any information on that one towing unladen and ladened and if you have a brochure you can copy for my in your fast collection \once again thank you for all you have done

Hi I have a Swift Challenger 470/2 SE. I was told it's a 1993/4 but have not been able to locate the numbers that should be printed on the windows to give the exact year. Dose this mean my van is older and is there another place I can look to find the exact year.

Barbara the 1989 Wren was 718kg and 950kg respectively. Send me 32 plus an SAE if you want a copy of the brochure. Cheers, Mark

Sarah J if your Challenger has'nt got a CRIS number on the windows it is most likely older than you think. There should be a number on the Aframe. Some of the fairing covers had a "slot" cut out near the handbrake which was a viewing hole for the number ~ a torch will help you see it! Otherwise it should be stamped down the side rail or on the top of the Aframe. Alternatively send a pic inside and out and i can narrow it down somewhat! Cheers, Mark

Hi Sarah when somebody tells you the year of a caravan is 1993/94 etc etc you can pretty much guarantee (if you are lucky!) that it is the older year. More than likely it will be even older!! In your case from your pictures (the internal one is very dark!) the 93/94 is either a 1990 or a 1991. Both were very similar. Does your Cascade water heater work off gas only or is it a cascade 2 that is 240 volt also?

Hi fleetgold assuming you hav'nt got a 17 digit VIN number etched on your windows etc. you have a 1991 model Cameo. Regards, Mark
