Ever met an honest salesperson?? no seriously it sounds o.k. You will get some good years enjoyment out of it - and then come and trade it in with us! I would certainly suggest you have at least the gas system checked for leaks, that the electricity system has an RCD safety device fitted and before your journey check the tyres for age and cracking walls and tread. HAPPY CARAVANNING, Mark

If the Wentworth was built in October 1981 it will in fact be a 1982 model. This was the largest of the SE models at 17'5" body length and weighing in at a whopping 20 cwt ex works. the door was at the rear side of the van and had the toilet compartment directly to the right. There was a single bunk straight ahead and a single dinette to your left making into a bunk arrangement. the kitchen was opposite this and it had the standard large dining area/double at the front. Bessacarr have always been aimed at the top end of the market and this was no exception. for its year just about everything available at the time was standard including hot water, shower, thermostatic space heating with blown air, galvanised chassis, cooker extractor, gas leak detector and radio cassette. The caravan retailed for £6938 and if you compare this with a similar sized Swift Corniche at the time at £5152 it shows you its position in the market place. Hope this helps. regards Mark Lewis http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi again. It seems I should have mentioned the other door!!It's 4ft back from the front offside, and shortens that sdes front bunk. Theres a l shaped bunk to the right, the far end of which forms a partition to the end kitchen The toilet/shower is in the other offside corner, oppersite the rear door.A sideboard and wardrobe bring you back to the full length nearside front bunk. The heating is a standard 3002 with blown air,a Cascade one, heating the water. No leak detector or radio is evident and the cooker hood is long gone.Iv'e had the van about 4 years, and have spent too many hours to count putting it in good order. Most of the trouble has been caused by the 'L' shaped awning rails being stapled on, and the water ingress that this inherent weakness has caused, infact very few screws had been used anywhere all the trim on the outside being nailed on.I wonder what Bessacarr's troubles must have been at this time,to resort to such shoddy workmanship.Otherwise, and I wouldn't have spent so much time on her if not, her!!,the layout is superb and it would seem quite rare, the light oak finish certainly gives that look of quality you mention

Hi. No its not expanding "foam" type stuff this can cause you problems towards a lumpy floor. It is as you say strong 2 part adhesive. regards, mark http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi. These vans were built between 1987/93 and 1995/98. Because they are imported the chassis numbers mean nothing to me. However Tabbert U.K. should still be available to speak to on 01782 646101 they will be able to help regards http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi. The Cosalt Clubman range was produced between 1979 and 1984.From the serial no. you give yours will be a 1984 model and should be a "GXL". Has it got a full width gas locker? They were made by the more commonly known Abbey Group which is now under the umbrella of "Sterling". In 1984 they also did a Clubman "Special" which had a shower and hot water system which cost £350 extra. The models ranged from a £4000 212 (12' 2 Berth) through to a £5400 617 Twin axle (17' 6 Berth) The numbers denoting the size and no. of berths. If you want to drop me a linewith the model you own I can let you have a bit more info. HAPPY CARAVANNING, Regards mark Lewis http://www.callendercaravans.co.uk

Hi Mark. My husband bought me a beautiful Mustang Goodwood for christmas it is my pride and joy. Could you give me any information on it. It is a 1978 model we have a handbook but I would love to get hold of an original sales brochure. The previous owner had it for ten years and it`s almost in mint condition. My husband paid £295 for it is this a fair valuation. Are there many Goodwoods around. I would also like to know where I can get a two ring hob for my van as it could do with replacing any idea of the cost of this item.
