I know what you are saying, but it will take months to evict you and as for the deposit, give him a list of repairs that needs doing. There isnt a house on this planet that doesn't need repairs or some type of maintenance. If you dont get the repairs done it gives you the reason to withold your rent, just keep it going until you have the deposit saved. This is when you mess about until you decide you are leaving. It is also more ammunition if you ever get to court. I would love to see the photos ( I am one of these weird Building Surveyor type people) you can get me at [Log in to view email]
