Gregs .

Best way forward is to get it into your local dealer - they will read the fault codes stored in the abs / engine ecu and diagnose from there .

Due to the fact that the fault is intermittent i would suspect the brake pedal switch - if so the whole job should cost you about £50-60 .

by the way dudcat

the light have been on again over the weekend only 4 short time and now gone off.

Will LR be still able to read fault codes when thy plug it in, IF the light are now not on ???

Cheers

Greg .

Yes the fault will stay in the abs ecu until the fault is cleared using the T4 diagnostic equipment , if the brake pedal switch is causing the problem the fault will stay in the system even after you replace the switch , it wont put the warning lights on again but its good to get the fault cleared just incase you get a problem in the future and the old fault will still be in there .

I have heard that sometimes after you replace the faulty part the fault will clear after 20 cycles of the ignition switch , this isnt the case , recently i replaced my switch but didnt have time to clear the faults , i forgot about it and put T4 on a month later and the fault was still there , so its best to get them cleared .
