I personaly have never paid more than £70 for the water cooled model, (Ive bought five, one to drive and two for spares over time, and two to make a good car for my brother).

The air cooled models are better looking and are more sought after, and easier to source parts for, i have seen nice rag tops go for good money (£900- £1200)

When you consider that a lot of 126's are being used as donors to keep the more popular 500 on the road, restoring a 126 properly may be worthwhile in the long run.

but as they tend to disintegrate over in england finding a good car to start with will be fairly difficult, unless you buy a late model 126p but an early car would be the one to go for if you are going to restore one.
