Hi, did you clear the problem you had with Sky internet dropping out earlier this year? If so, how, as I've got the same problem?

(The post is archived now, so I don't think I can reply to it)

Hi Geoff, I sorted the problem out with Sky by emailing them and then them emailing me back, and also by phone, but it took quite a while to sort. I am not sure of the email address that I used but I think it was [Log in to view email] I must say that they did seem to try their best and got it sorted. They got me to go into the technical part of the Local Area Connection etc. which I done while they spoke to me over the phone, they phoned me, not me phone them. I spent a fortune on phone calls before I emailed them, they just kept me hanging on the phone like they always do so I thought sod this and found their email address. I hope this helps you. Roy

Roy,
Thanks for that. I've emailed Sky and so far I'm not impressed - they're obviously just asking questions from a script, such as telling me to check the cabling, even though I've sent them the error message (like yours) that clearly shows a DNS error. I guess I must persevere with them.
Thanks for your response,
Geoff

Hello Geoff,if you need to phone sky again then you may get them on Free Phone 0800 0512595 Put this site http://www.SAYNOTO0870.com into your favourites and then use this site to find out if you can phone Free Phone for 0870 numbers. Heres how:- connect to http://www.SAYNOTO0870.com click on "Search to find an alternative number" and then type into the box "Sky broadband" ,left click "Search" and you should then see the free phone numbers if there are any for the 0870 number you are looking for. I hope this is of use to you for it has saved me a fortune. Please keep me informed of your progress with the Sky connection, I know it does take time, I told them that I would not pay for the time I was not connected properly. They seem to work on what they call different levels like Level 1, Level 2, etc. and work you through, they also create a works number for your problem which they refer to. Hope all goes well. Roy
