Advice on Injectors
Messages 1 to 1 of 1.
The car ran sweet with hardly a sound from the engine until it started knocking and eventually broke down. I discovered my fuel filter wasn't doing it's job and have metal flakes from the tank getting through to the injectors. Sorting the filter, I have now placed the original injectors on the engine and it is running fine although with these injectors it always sounds like a diesel truck, a mild rattly knock which is only present on light load and at the top of the revs before the limiter kicks in. I'm thinking of changing them back to the BX ones as the engine was quiet and happy with these fitted. Does anyone have any advice on whether this is a good or bad thing to do. The Bx ones obviously work at a different pressure, Would there be any problems foreseen afer a few hundred miles or so. I would appreciate any advice given. Thanks for your time. John
