Black wires on the 2S4V are usually the earth cablesbut if you email me a photo of the back I should be able to confirm for sure.

Thanks
Barry

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for that would they be the earth for the following - fridge, sockets, lights, charger, or would they be for the 4 fuses? Sorry but a mere female and electrics are not my strong point.

thanks so much

Amanda

There are normally 3 outputs on the 2S4V - lights, pump and aux ( which could be 12V plug sockets ) so three of the earths would be for those. The fourth is very very unlikely to be direct to fridge, more likely to connect to the battery negative in some way.

Thanks
Barry

Hi just removed my Zig x80 (no power) found it installed against an air vent and looks like water has got into the top of it over time, can they be repaired? are they available new/second hand. Any info will be helpful

Tom

Hi Tom - Zig do not repair chargers and do not as such make any spares available for them. The X80 is still available but quite an expensive piece of kit. Second hand the obvious one is keep an eye on the classifieds on Preloved or Ebay. There are other own brand alternatives as well which may suffice with a bit of simple adaptation.

Thanks
Barry

hello, we've just picked up our first campervan, a 1993 Talbot Express Symphony, the Zig unit is an MC-3000 (I think, at least that's what is written on it). I can't find any instructions for this model, please can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi Kaynine - I believe that the MC models were generally custom built items for motor home manufacturers which normally means any instructions would have been included in the manufacturers handbook rather than a separate manual by Zig so you may need to try a track down a copy of this if you haven't got one already.

Thanks
Barry

Tom - forum rules ( quite rightly ) do not permit promotion / pricing of items. Pls PM me with your email address as I will need more info but in theory you should only need to replace the charger unit.

Thanks
Barry

Thank you, Barry. We have no manuals for our new-to-us campervan so we'll try to track one down asap. We think we've worked most of it out but it would be good to have confirmation

as an update and info for anyone else in the same position as us

I've just spoken to the Parts department at AutoSleeper on 01386 842630, they were very helpful and keep masters of many manuals. They checked that the manual for the 1993 Symphony had the Zig Panel instructions included (it does) and are sending me a photocopy of the full manual for a very reasonable sum.

Hi, I have an Elddis Shamal caravan (97/98). It was broken into and vandalised whereby, all wiring was cut and switch boxes/lights etc were stolen. I have been told by a liesure vehicle electrician that i need to get an electrical distribution unit or 'zig' box. Mainly I use just the cooker and fridge from the switches so lighting is an after thought...since I need to do this wuickly in order to move caravan to different location...Can anyone help in finding parts and perhaps manual??!! Many thanx. Debi
