Hi, I am having a little trouble with my '93 Panda, and unfortunately I can't find any info on this particular problem.
I am having some trouble with the indicators, the right hand circuit in particular. If I have the hazard lights on, all bulbs light up correctly at the same speed, however if I just indicate right, the right hand side indicators all repeat at double speed.
I had this problem with my previous panda and could fix it by cleaning the connectors. On this one though, all the connections are correct and clean, and the wiring is not degraded in sight.
I have an MOT in the near future and I have a horrible feeling this will make her fail, and I don't really have enough light in the day to take the car apart to see if I can find anything. Any help would be very gratefully recieved.
(I have changed fuses and the rest)

Hi there! I have a 2001 Punto of which the yellow warning light ( sort of engine symbol ) on the right of dash is illumminated and has been for last two years but car runs ok.. sometimes a little stutter when idling. its been through two Mot's with the light on and passed both times without comment.
Any ideas what it could be that causing it to be on so I can turn the dam thingy off ??

Try the ecu reset routine, rev to 5000, allow to drop to 1500, repeat 3 times. Otherwise take to garage and get the diag codes read.
BTW best to start a new message rather than tack onto old ones, because the questions and answers get too muddled.

hi got a punto 90 1.6 p reg not starting, its got no spark and the key light is on all the time and there is no injector light coming on at all, weve replaces the crank sensor but didnt help so i think its immobilser fault, is there anyway to sort this or a way to bypass to solve the problem. help help!

have you tried putting a temp earth on the bulb to see if they slow down, failing that its possible the flasher unit it self is faulty,

Hi, and thanks for your offer of assistnce its appreciated.
I have a great car, 1999 Fiat Punto Selecta SX, Automatic trans. Recently the warning light came on and the car wouldn't engage gears.
Ive taken it to a Fiat Dealer and they're suggesting the accelerator pedal has gone (which is what my local gearbox specialist guessed) but the Auto Gearbox ECU is on the way out.
its gonna cost 750 uid to repair and i just dont have that kind of money. is there anyway of checking if there is damp on the ECU as apparantly leaks from the heating matrix which often causes this?
Dont want to scrap the car but looking like my only option. Also, is it safe to drive in the short term? it goes ok once i get it into gear?

I want to fit foglights to my Punto mk 1 1999, is the wiring already there to connect to and how do I take out the switch consul as I need to fit a switch.

hi i have an m reg fiat punto 55 and car has lost power. takes an age to get to 60 and doesn't want to go over 4000 revs. been down to local garage and he has no clue. any ideas? please. helen

hi, depends what model,,as some dont have the wiring and it the wiring is not at the switch either...cheers...moz..

hi, could be plugs,leads,coils, h/gaskest...its one of those jobs where you have to listen to the car to pick out the problem....cheers...moz..

No cheap way, the only wat to do it yourself is to buy complete kit from scrappy keys/immo/ecu.
