Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter and fuel lines are located on an astra 1.6 LS auto R Reg '97.

I need to change the filter and clear the fuel lines.

Is this a tricky job.

not sure of location normally easy to find follow the fuel lines and normally the filter just has clamps and push on hoses. grips may come in handy to prevent spillage

The fuel filter is located just in front of the o/s/r wheel and no it's not it's not difficult to clear the lines on this particular car.

Can anyone simply instruct me how to clear the fuel lines and replace the filter on this model astra.

Not quite sure whats happened as regards you wanting to clear your fuel lines but if you disconnect the fuel line from filter to the engine and the line at the engine end where it goes onto the fuel rail then just use some compressed air.
I assume you think there is a blockage somwhere ?
A quick check you could do to save some grief is the pipe coming from the pump in the tank to filter could be aimed into a container and very briefly switch the ign on and off this will at least let you know if fuel is getting to the filter.

I'm also having problems locating the petrol fuel filter on a 2003 Astra 1.6.
Has anyone out there any idea where it is?
